I was "one incident too early." On November 5, 2009, I wrote this for JWR's "sister site", Political Mavens:

He made his choice and sided with Islam over America and told us all that he approves of the MUSLIM 9/11 VICTORY Mosque, that He DOES NOT OBJECT TO IT and that he wants it built at the site of Islam's victory over America. The words Obama said on Friday in support of this abomination he agreed to and proclaimed before all of those assembled and before the entire world OF HIS OWN FREE WILL. (For him to now be saying that he did not mean what he said is ridiculous.)

He is not to be trusted, he is to be opposed and no matter what the "White House" says, we must all remember that according to taqqiya it is completely "kosher" in Islam for Muslims to LIE in order to deceive those who do not follow Islam = i.e., the "infidels", in order to gain your ultimate ends of conquest and total subjugation. That is exactly what Obama the closet Marxist Muslim is doing = lying in order to deceive America and Americans.
The problem is this; with his statement on Friday Obama COMPLETELY and PERMANENTLY BROKE FAITH WITH THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA! He once and for all told America and the World exactly which side he is on: He supports Islam and the enemies of the United States both at home and abroad. We have him speaking these words, on video. He can lie and obfuscate and try to "backpedal" all he wants, but it is too late, he cannot undo what he has done;
Obama didn't just "spit it the eye of America;" he pulled down his pants in front of the entire country and world, squatted on the hallowed 9/11/01 Ground Zero site and took a huge PUBLIC DUMP UPON GROUND ZERO AND UPON ALL OF AMERICA! After he was done, he got up, pulled up his pants, smiled, his narcissistic smile at the camera and said: "This is where I stand regarding America, Islam and Ground Zero."
Obama is Satan's servant = totally anti-American, anti-Semitic and filled with the spirit of antichrist.

Why this took so long I’ll never know. I just spent a hair raising week at family reunion with 21 Boston, Vermont and Maine relatives. There’s no doubt that the Kool-Aid continues to flow in the NE! It was like hell week. No one on my side but my wife and daughters and one brother in law who seems to be getting it. One went on a rant about the virtues of mediamatters.com! Some will never be persuaded. It’s so good to have access to a computer and Freerepublic to see that there’s still some sanity! 8/28 here I come!

This is such a simple argument to make against Barry. I’ve already shredded several of my waffling LIB friends (yes, I have some) on this issue. I remind them that the mosque issue was never about religious freedom; no where will you find that argument. The issue was and is about building a ‘place of worship’ for the religion that the 13 9/11 hijackers belonged to, within a short walking distance of ‘Ground Zero’, which has become something of holy ground for most Americans. Additionally I remind them that there are about 100 mosques already in Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. So why do they need to build another one, and why do they need to build it so close to Ground Zero? The answer, the choice is not about religion, it’s about a political statement, it’s about rubbing salt in a very big wound.

100 House seats and 10 senate seats? Republicans are running on the old “tax cuts for the rich” and new tax cuts for the rich , ie cutting the capital gains tax rate to zero...on wars that the public has been weary of since 2005 or 2006......sealing the borders.......etc.....
Not to mention floating other ideas which are considered unfair or out of the mainstream, ie the Fairtax, flat tax, or Reagan 1986 tax reform which preceeded the Savings and Loan crisis.....
With almost no support from the press...
Ok, so the Republicans do win a lot of seats because of liberal hatred, but what will they do with the seats against Obama’s veto pen?
I see a lesser version of 1994 , where the Republicans don’t realize they are “lesser of two evils” for most voters—and they think they can walk all over Obama like they thought they could walk all over Clinton.
Clinton got re—elected in 1996, and the Democrats and the press still control the narrative that says that Clinton’s tax cuts on the rich saved the economy, balanced the budget and made it boom, whereas the Bush tax cuts for the rich led to deficits and a crash....
The base of Republican true believers is really small....and the Republican p[lateform is NOT as appealing to the middle class or Independents as some Republicans think.....
Republicans like Huckabee COULD appeal to a wider group, except that the right likes to call him a RINO, like they’ll wrongly call a Jan Brewer a RINO because of her temporary sales tax increase after Arizona borrowed its max and cut spending to the bone, leaving no other options.
The only problem with Huckabee is that a Fairtax would never fly socially or politically unless you scaled it down....ie
replacing the payroll tax and the corporate income tax with a consumption tax(es) instead of all income taxes....
Republicans don’t seem to have a sense—just like the Democrats don’t......of where most people are politically—or what most people want......
Getting elected is one thing, but governing once you’re elected is another. Clinton actually was brilliant at being LEFT of how he appeared and making it look as if he was governing from the center and marginalizing Republicans, whereas Bush thought he was right in the center, but never persuaded the majority of it....
She's an art coordinator at a women's center at a major university. Okay. I think that paints a clear picture. I can make certain assumptions about someone in that position -- but do I care? No. She's an old friend and we were having a great time. I understand that kind of work and I understand that kind of environment (I used to work in a very similar place). We talked about her job. No big deal. I found it interesting and stimulating. Overall, this has been something like a 1 hr phone call.
Then she asked me what I do. Well, I never say what I do, but I told her a little. WHAM!! You could hear her mind clicking. She was making the assumptions. She was figuring out what kind of person would do this sort of work.
It got chilly and the conservation ended within minutes.
Really, really, really sad day for me.
These people just aren't right in th head. They hate with a great hate.

Been there, done that. Usual Thanksgiving discussion includes:
“There should be a law prohibiting anyone from making over $1 million per year.”
“There should be a law making greedy corporations pay their workers enough to have a nice house and six weeks of vacation a year like in France.”
“There should be a law requiring doctors to treat everyone who comes in the door.”
Get the theme? On really good days, the virtues of the agnostic preacher at the lame, milquetoast, feel-good “church” that I unfortunately grew up in will come up. This is usually used to tell me and my uncle (both of us are the only born-again Christians in the bloodline) that we’re bigots for continuing to believe that God really meant that stuff about marriage and sex being limited to one man and one woman.
It generally goes downhill from there until I can needle my sibling into discussing the latest proctological exam they did. After that the table clears relatively quickly.
