Popular antipathy to a proposed Islamic center near Ground Zero is so fierce that even President Barack Obama, the nation's Islamophile-in-chief, "clarified" his August 11 statement supporting the plan to say, "I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there." It is not just a mosque, of which there are two in the neighborhood, but a symbol of Islamic presence. The most recent CNN poll shows an overwhelming 70%-29% margin of opposition.
When liberal politicians - like the president and New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg - defend the plan, what they mean is, "We want a big Islamic statement near Ground Zero as a gesture of outreach to the Muslim world." When the political right denounces it, they mean, "Muslim conquerors always build a mosque atop the ruins of the places they conquer, and we're not going to give the rascals the satisfaction." That was predictable.
What is surprising is how passionately Americans oppose the Ground Zero mosque. A revolt is brewing against America's liberal political elite.
It is hard to find consistent polling data about American attitudes towards Islam. The largest polling organizations, Pew and Gallup, draw funding from organizations with a vested interest in promoting a benign view of Islam. Nonetheless, the results are striking: in a Gallup inquiry [1] published in January 2010, Americans had an "unfavorable" view of Islam by a margin of 53%-42%, with 31% holding a strongly negative view. That contrasts with 15% for Judaism and 4% for Christianity.
Similar results emerge from polls of respective support for Israel and the Palestinians.

Why not ask; Why don’t Americans TRUST, RESPECT, TRUST, ADMIRE, TRUST, FOLLOW, TRUST, EMULATE, TRUST, EMBRACE, TRUST MUSLIMS?
I know some muslims that I like. That said, as for the rest:
— I have very little in common with them. My culture is different from theirs. There’s not much to talk about.
— They adhere to a violent false religion that has caused and is causing untold misery. I want no part of it, and I’ve found through my many decades of life that it’s best to avoid evil.
— Their women, and some of the men, wear silly clothes supposedly to reflect modesty and faith but which, in reality, just draw attention to themselves.
— I can’t tell, from looking, who might want to be my friend and who is planning to blow me up.
“Why don’t Americans like Muslims?”
For the same reason Americans don’t like Rabid Animals.
Here's TWO REASONS!.............
Two sentences and you absolutely nailed it.
They want us to die seems like a good enough reason.
Maybe the fact that US citizens have been victims of terrorist attacks since 1785 might have something to do with it.
Wrong question. The question should be Why don’t Americans like the Constitution being replaced with Sharia Law?
1. Their intents on establishing a world caliphate.
2. Terrorism throughout the world.
3. Institutional pediophilia.
4. Treatment and persecution of non-muslims in muslim-dominated countries.
5. Treatment of women.
6. Hatred of anything non-muslim.
7. Moral and cultural destruction of everything around them.
8. Constant portrayal of themselves of a victim class when they don’t get their jihadist ways.
Aside from those, gosh... why DON’T Americans like muslims?
I want to ask the “coexist” car folks -
how many muslims do you think have those stickers on their bumpers?
Good answer;)
The problem is most of us do not know arabic. Is it possible to get an English translation of the book that preserves the meaning of the original text?
ZERO.
we prefer our friends in human form
I doubt he is a “liberal” muslim. The muslim who occupies OUR whitehouse is a full blown muslim. There ain’t no liberal muslims. They pretend to be liberal, ‘cause the Quo’ran tells them to do whatever it takes to fool the infedel so they can get what they want...which is total control, just like they have in the middle east.
Reason # 1,549,743 why inbreeding is a bad idea.
