Offer Rejected to Move Mosque Away From Ground Zero to 'State Property'

The developers of the so-called Ground Zero mosque rejected New York Gov. David Paterson’s offer to provide state property if the project is moved farther away from where the twin towers once stood.

“I think they would like to stay where they are, and I certainly respect that and I certainly respect them,” Paterson said. “Having said that, how much more foresighted would it have been if the imam who is the developer of the project had been willing to hear what we are actually talking about?”

i.e. the WHOLE POINT for the scumbags is to build this gigantic mosque as close to Ground Zero as possible --- it has nothing to do with serving any "needs" of any worship "community" in the area since of course that part of Manhattan has virtually no Muslim residential community (or any residential community to speak of).

for all who are not brain-dead liberals, this makes it even more blatant that this is ALL about putting Muslim symbols of "triumph" at the spot where they slaughtered thousands....

I’m not sure if “providing” an alternate site means that the land would be given away. There are different interpretations of what “providing” might entail. It might mean he could grease the skids (preferably with bacon fat) to obtain another site. It doesn’t necessarily mean the land would be gifted away— I do not believe that would be legal.

mazda77 hit the nail on the head, however (#6). Paterson has outed their agenda, otherwise why else would they not even listen to what he had to say...
