Jack Kingston: Sarah Palin should ‘butt out’ of state races
AJC ^ | 8/11/10 | Jim Galloway

Posted on 08/11/2010 11:59:32 AM PDT by pissant

On “America’s Morning News” – a web-based talk show sponsored by Human Events – U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston was drawn into a discussion of Georgia’s Republican runoff for governor.

Would you have preferred that Sarah Palin butt out of it, Kingston was asked? “I wish she will,” Kingston said. But never mind the grammar – it was live radio. He continued:

“Because what’s she’s doing is dividing the Republican party at a time when we don’t need to be divided.

“Because in a case like this, really what people were saying – ‘Well, she’s endorsing Karen Handel because she’s a woman.’ [Palin] got up on stage on Monday and said, ‘I’m not doing it because she’s a woman – although she is a sister.’ You know — wink, wink.

“And I understand that. But what it does is, it makes Republicans say, well, maybe we do need to rethink Karen Han – I mean, Sarah Palin, as somebody who does shoot from the hip a little bit too much. Because I think Karen Handel is a very decent candidate, but she’s clearly the more moderate person in the race….”

That an excuse you just gave or an observation?
From my perspective, Jack Kingston needs to remove the RINO tattoo attached to his ass..... =.=

The Republican party is very divided. On the one hand, you have Tea Party Conservatives. Sarah Palin understands them. On the other hand, you have Country Club Republicans who enjoy being the political elite and enjoy making deals with Liberal Democrats.

Sarah Palin helps people see this divide clearly. The Elitists don't appreciate her activity.

So only the blue blood RINOs of the Republican Party have the authority and the knowledge to pick and choose whom we should vote for?

We serfs are supposed to shut up in front of our betters and just vote for the un-American idiot they tell us to.

I think not. The only fracturing of the Republican Party that is happening are the real conservatives fracturing off the Rockefeller wing of the good old boy network.

Im getting a little pissed off with people labeling 95% conservative candidates as RINO’s.

This is getting stupid now. we need to defeat and the Dems and Obama in 2010 and 2012 first and foremost.

We can deal with the rest later.

The Handel woman was hardly a Tea Party type. But she was a woman.

I think so. Hopefully so much so that she stands no chance of winning a 2012 nomination.

I agree with you. 2010 first, then we worry about 2012.

I totally agree with Jack Kingston. Sarah was not needed in this race but would have been more than welcome to campaign for the Primary winner against the Democrat nominee.

If there is anyone who don’t think (wink, wink) that she was supporting the “sister” because of her plumbing then I’d like to have some of what you’re smoking.

Sarah lost a fan, a supporter, and a financial backer with her meddling in our Primaries.

Good for him to say that! I disagree, but Sarah will learn from his honest remark too.

That’s a difference between Palin and most other pols — she learns from her mistakes.

As such, ask him what his stance is on repealing ObamaCare, among other isues, but yeah, he is run of the mill for Georgia, huh?

“Im getting a little pissed off with people labeling 95% conservative candidates as RINO’s.”

Divide and conquer.
