Yeah,
I have been to those ten places, this is fairly accurate. You could also throw-in any city in Upstate New York.

El Centro has at least one important redeeming quality. It is home to my favorite food on the planet: Quesadilla Especial at La Hacienda (formerly in Imperial, CA.)

I heard all the gulf states are just terrible. The RSPCA is having a pet auction here in California due to so many families having to turn pets in at a shelter in the gulf area because of no money to take care of them.

Oklahoma City made the list because of our obesity index. Granted, we have more fat people than we should. But I have yet to hear that it is contagious or that people are forced into obesity because of organized crime. So, give me a break, other people’s being fat is no reason to black ball a city.
We have low unemployment, low cost of living, low foreclosure rate, housing prices have not declined to much extent. People are friendly and our crime rate is low. But too many fat people is worse than Chicago’s double digit weekly murder rate.

Oklahoma City is the unhealthiest city in the country, as measured by the American College of Sports Medicine's annual fitness index. The index looks at 30 fitness indicators, including obesity and exercise rates, death rate from cardiovascular disease, acres of park land, number of primary care physicians per capita and percentage of residents who bicycle or walk to work.Big FReepin' deal ... like I care if the neighbors work out. I'd rather they cooked great Mexican food ... with lard. And get those bicycles out of the way of my van already.

Sounds like OKC made it based upon obesity rates which sounds pretty squirrly. Every city in the US has a lot of fat people but that wouldn't be a detriment in my eyes. Maybe just a lot of good cooks. Oh yeah, they also didn't have many dog parks.
To: rightwingintelligentsia
Sounds like they’ve got way faulty reasoning. Several of these places could be considered some of the best places to live for various reasons: Miami, Phoenix, las Vegas, LA.....

This list is predicated on the fact that nobody was willing to transport the compilers of it into Camden NJ, Buffalo NY, Oakland CA or Washington DC.
Not to mention Centralia PA which is still on fire after almost 50 years...but it’s vacant now.
