Army gags officer challenging Obama eligibility
World Net Daily ^ | August 6, 2010 | Thom Redmond

FT. BELVOIR, Va. – A decorated military officer who is challenging – in military court – President Obama's eligibility to be president was taken into custody and escorted under guard back to Walter Reed Army Base today after a hearing, apparently so he could not talk to the press or his attorney about his case, according to his defense attorney.

The Army held a hearing today at Ft. Belvoir, Va., for Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, who posted a YouTube video challenging the Army to charge him after he refused to deploy to Afghanistan again this spring because of his concerns that Obama is ineligible to be president, and orders under his chain of command then would be suspect.

The hearing was on several charges of disobeying commands and "missing movement," and was held by Col. Denise Lind, who has been assigned to be the military judge in the case.

At the conclusion of the arraignment, Lakin was ordered not to speak with the press and was taken back to Reed under military escort, surprising and disturbing a civilian lawyer who has been working on his case.

"This was completely inappropriate. Col Lakin was brought here and taken away from here as if he was a common criminal. He was prohibited from talking to the press for two minutes; he was prohibited from talking to anybody, even me," Paul Rolf Jenson said.

Tsk, tsk, SNOPES? The Mikkelson's are frauds.

"Barack Obama's parents separated when he was two years old, his father moving to Connecticut to continue his education before returning to Kenya. When the younger Obama was six years old, his mother married again, this time to Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian oil manager."

In 1964, Barack Obama, Sr. was living at 170 Magazine Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts NOT Connecticut!

His mother married Soetoro in March of 1965, when Barry was only three years old!

Interesting quote from Snopes

Looks like they set up cover for how Obama has a Conn SS# when he never lived there. See, Daddy got it for him! After all, Snopes says Sr. lived there.....

I’m just saying......

You are wrong. You say “Lakin is charged with disobeying orders”, but the specification includes the words LAWFUL orders, that is the the heart of the defense. The orders were not LAWFUL cos they derived fron a usurper President.

The man is a Patriot.

Or a fool. Maybe both.

Instead of dissing him, maybe it wouldn’t hurt you for once to wish the man well. I mean...just once. Sometimes it takes a miracle. The right thing at the right time.

While we're at it, should we have wished well Ehren Watada or Yolanda Huet-Vaughn or Michael New or any other service person who felt that they could decide for themselves what orders were legal and what were not?

NS, it is hard for me to understand the progressively communist left and their hate for our constitution. Surely, you realize that it is the only thing between liberty and the misery of totalitarianism. Why do you want to extinguish Liberty?

“Start a site named WikiBirth.”

It would be interesting to see what might get unearthed if people had a bullet-proof way of bringing documents to light with 100% assurance of anonymity. You’d think at least one employee at Hawaii DOH might be pretty steamed to see how politics appears to have stifled honesty and transparency among the leaders of that agency.

“Do you get it?”

OK, I’ll bite. I don’t get what the guy in the lower left is doing or what significance that has.

“A comparison of two famous WWII Japanese Internment Camp supreme Court cases is relevent here.”

Thanks for an excellent, evidence-based explanation of why Lakin is unlikely to succeed in his quest. I wonder why his lawyer didn’t point this out.

What I find annoying is that Obama is perfectly willing to let this guy—who clearly has served quite honorably up until the point of refusing orders—end up in the slammer rather than resolve the matter by making public his long form BC. I can understand him trying to jerk around “birthers” (if that’s the motivation behind his willingness to let everyone squander millions in court battles rather than be more forthcoming), but when it gets to the point of harming a U.S. military officer, his behavior is baffling.

I am praying that other senior officers stick by LTC Lakin and not let him “hang alone”.

You think officers want the men in their commands pulling the same stunt Lakin did? "Sorry Sarge, I'm not standing that watch until President Obama shows me his long form birth certificate. Find someone else for watch duty."

The military doesn't take such insubordination lightly. It reflects poorly on leadership (and careers) and will be punished to discourage repeat behavior in the future.

The orders were not LAWFUL cos they derived fron a usurper President.

The de facto officer doctrine says otherwise.
