WASHINGTON -- A House investigative panel has charged California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters with violating ethics rules.
Waters, a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, would face a trial in the fall unless she negotiates a settlement.
If the case goes to trial, Democrats would have the political headache of two ethics trials - one for Waters and another for Rep. Charles Rangel of New York. ....

I agree. Bbut obama is far to their left, and he will brook no opposition.I hope they fight Obama and win. This would split the Black Caucus, and cause a mini rebellion.
You will know when Obama is losing the fight if you hear calls for unity or solidarity coming from him to the Black Caucus.
The Obama pimp game does not work on his fellow pimps.
Yep, their constituents will march to the polls in lockstep to vote against Whitey who's out to railroad their role models, Charley the Luna and Slapsy Maxie Waters.

I agree with you about hoping they fight Obama.
Oh okay. I see what you mean. Yes, they are king and queen and are entrenched in their districts too. They’d never be voted out though.
You are right about that. If they are censured for ethics violations they will run as independents and get elected again, IMHO.If there is no felony record, they will take their seats. Thats why the Fascist in Chief will get violent on them, and soon.Thats a prediction.
Thanks Candor7, I was a little slow on the uptake, but I do think that you are right.
It would be a hell of thing though if the first African-American president of the US was to be the one to divide and splinter the Congressional Black Caucus.
Anyone know the composition & names of members of the House Ethics Committee?
Jo Bonner, Alabama, Ranking Member
Michael McCaul, Texas
Mike Conaway, Texas
Charlie Dent, Pennsylvania
Gregg Harper, Mississippi
Thanks, Houston!
I just looked them all up. Apparently, McCaul has a corruption prosecution background. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0710/40265.html#ixzz0uzHHnfY1
I wonder if the Partisan divide/balance is going to matter if someone is going to call attention to the race issue, given the entire committee is White and they just charged 2 Black members of the House. Seems to me that they need to charge at least one more Rep — a White one — and they certainly have more than enough equally deserving ones to choose from!
I think Barny Franks is involved with the Waters case, would that do?
Barny would do, but it sounds like we shouldn’t hold our breath on that one.
