While many Americans are cutting back on their vacation plans or eliminating them altogether, Barack Obama is setting an aspirational example for all of us. Sure, times are tough, but perhaps we can enjoy a life of leisure vicariously through our betters.
On July 16-18, the Obamas enjoyed their first summer vacation in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. The idyllic town has long been favorite summer getaway for the rich and powerful going back to the Gilded Age. Truly a resort fit for a king public servant.

Many of you might remember that when this guy became president, he said we would all have to sacrifice. I guess that meant we all had to give up our leisure time to pay for his. You’re right; President Bush did not hobnob all over the place with his friends and supporters. If he did get some time away from the Oval Office, he was usually still working.
It took YEARS to save the money to take our kids and their spouses with us to Hawaii this coming September! And all they do is go on vacation or play golf...

So, what’s your favorite cake???? Letting us eat it is obviously how they respond to the genuine hardships Americans are experiencing in the wake of this administration’s and congress’ destruction of our economy and country.
The press is responsible for this communist usurper in the White House, and they need to pay.
I wonder if George Soros has an opening in the U.N. that Obama could transfer to? I’d hate to have to give him up for the greater cause of saving the world, but really he’s done about all he can do to transform America and I’d hate to see his resume take a backwards step. It’d be sad to see him go, but sacrifices must be made for he greater good!

I am sick and tired of paying for luxury vacations for any President, Vice President, Speaker of the House. Let them pay for their own vacations.

Has Dear Leader ever considered going to Camp David which is just a few minutes away from Washington by helicopter and already has the necessary security and communications systems in place? Bush spent two weeks at his ranch in Crawford, TX and the MSM had a cow. Now the Most Deluxe and Imperial Leader travels the globe for an endless summer vacation living like a potentate and not a word from the sycophant press.
Remember he “wrote” those books that the DNC bought up.
Which makes me crazy. It makes me even crazier to see Americans begging for extended unemployment to try and get by while O's off to Martha's Vineyard and Pelosi is jetting around the country. How can the people not see the disgrace of it all?
I'd love to see Kerry pull his yacht into a harbor in Massachusetts, only to have it seized by the locals in lieu of taxes owed. Especially if Obambi's on board.
