THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be "far preferable" to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya.
Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

I blame Mr MacAskill, the Justice Minister, for releasing him. This was not a trial. He is an elected hack acting unilaterally who said he was acting pursuant to the law. Where in Scottish law does it require a Justice Minister to release the most notorious criminal in the country responsible for the deaths of 250 people. I am sure the law requires the minister to take into account the nature of the criminal’s crime in considering humanitarian release.
The man is either insane or was imposed upon by the political elite in the UK to release him. He sounds like the Scottish version of Eric Holder.
Obama had foreknowledge of what they were up to. Obama is guilty for not screaming to high heaven internationally and in the media BEFORE the man was released so the UK public was also aware of what there politicians were up and force them to back off releasing him.
Maybe this will become his Watergate?
The US has tried to keep the letter secret, refusing to give permission to the Scottish authorities to publish it on the grounds it would prevent future "frank and open communications" with other governments. As if Zero constantly backstabbing, betraying and/or disrespecting American allies, while simultaneously evincing either incompetence or disinterest concerning foreign affairs and diplomacy, hasn't already had that effect.
I am so with you on that. I will not throw good money after bad. Republicans have to show us they go on the attack. There is so much to work with for Nov and ‘12.+
Time for Bambi to change the subject.

Problem is. None of the MSM will want to touch this. Can’t have such things tied to Obi and the State Department.

errr 2012, you know what I meant....lol
It’s no surprise that Obama would be on friendly terms with el-Gaddafi, and that he (and his comrades) would favor things in common...
Back in 1986 Rev. Wright, and Louis Farrakhan traveled together to meet with Gaddafi. The connections between Farrakhan and Wright are pretty well documented, of course.
That’s the CONFIRMED “Obama Connection” directly to Libya’s interest in this “transaction”. All through Obama’s “Black Liberation Theology”, and NOI comrades.
we aren’t going to plug the largest north american well are we? why?
Even though they obviously are — in more ways than one. Obama has personal ties to Gaddafi through Wright, and Farrakhan.
once the Dems lose their power I want to see an investigation into this corrupt media and how they have lied, been biased and totally not covered news or facts to get their party into power.
Never in my life have I ever seen the media actually go this way out with their corrupt reporting.
The GOP should be saying this at every chance on ever interview and ask the media why they do not cover this story or that story or this story
notice the BBC guardian did not cover this nor most of our corrupt media
This is completely unacceptable! IMPEACH THIS BUM NOW!
I can just imagine it would still be his fault!!!/s
Have you run that by the highly esteemed, most honorable Senator Arlen (soon to be) Spectator of PA??? (snort!!!)
