A poll conducted by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch/KMOV-TV shows that Democrat Robin Carnahan trails Roy Blunt by a 48-42 margin with 10% undecided. Carnahan's support is strongest in the cities of St. Louis and Kansas City while Blunt garners rural voters. President Obama made a recent visit to Missouri in support of Robin Carnahan.

I am sure that the judges will allow everyone in stl and stl county to vote twice, and keep the polls open for three days.
Actually, a 6 point lead is about the largest he’s had so far. ...I think the Democraps are going to get slaughtered this November.
I am a little surprised tghat the lead is only by 6% points. I would think that there are many more unemployed in KC and STL that would vote for Blunt were they not unionized and brainwashed drones. Time will tell.
Conservatives need to focus long-term on how to, finally, get a majority of city voters to really vote conservative, at every political level! If the Electoral College is ever abolished, then it will, always, be the U.S. cities who will pick all future POTUS candidates, and leftists will, almost always to always, win. Conservatism can’t survive for the long-term, if conservatives can’t ever break the pro-leftist advantages that nearly all cities continue to have.
About time you people started pronouncing it correctly.
Thank goodness. That should seal the deal for Roy.
Blunt will win the 7th district easy. However, I do not underestimate Carnahans dirty tricks
Not being a native Missourian, I am conflicted with the pronounciation etiquette. Some natives say Rah, others say Ree. I’d be happy just to know it is reliably MissouRED.
Katie Roy Blunt isn’t running for the 7th district.
I’m from southwest Missouri and everyone here has always pronounced it MissourEE.
The "Ree" pronuncuation tends to dominate in the southern and eastern parts of the state, while "ruh" tends to be in the northern and western. I grew up around Kansas City, later lived in a small town called Gallatin, and went to school for my undergraduate degree at Kirksville, and people in all three areas (who were native to those areas) said Missour-uh. I had a lot of friends from Springfield and St. Louis who said Missour-ee.
I travel all over the state every week and I hear it in both versions everywhere I go. My Florrisant cousin over near STL used to pronounce it RAH.
A poll by a liberal rag reported in another liberal rag.
Yes. After the Journalist revelations this past week by The Daily Caller why should I still be surprised. Good point.
I know but he lives in the 7th district and so do I...and he will carry this part of Mo for sure:)
I still can’t believe she won the last time. The GOP candidate was ahead when I went to bed that night and when I got up she had won because of voting irregularities in western Missouri, Joplin in particular if I remember right.
Vote for Chuck Purgason in the primary.
Obummer’s visit hopefully is the kiss of death to Sara’s campaign.
