Ever heard of the book "What Liberal Media?: The Truth about Bias and the News?" If you haven't then take a gander at its description on Amazon:
The incredulity begins with the title What Liberal Media?, journalist Eric Alterman's refutation of widely flung charges of left-wing bias, and never lets up. The book is unlikely to make many friends among conservative media talking heads. Alterman picks apart charges made by Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, George Will, Sean Hannity, and others (even the subtitle refers to a popular book by former CBS producer Bernard Goldberg that argues a lefty slant in news coverage). But the perspectives of less-incendiary figures, including David Broder and Howard Kurtz, are also dissected in Alterman's quest to prove that not only do the media lack a liberal slant but that quite the opposite is true.
Yeah, he proved it alright. He proved what a liar he is by participating in that secret liberal media cabal called JournoList, and once Obama won the election this is his response on that list:
Fucking Nascar retards
Others from that list that same night:
LAURA ROZEN, MOTHER JONES (NOW POLITICO): Can you imagine if these bozos had won?LAURA ROZEN: People we no longer have to listen to: would it be unwise to start a thread of people we are grateful we no longer have to listen to? If not, Ill start off: Michael Rubin.
MICHAEL COHEN, NEW AMERICA FOUNDATION: Mark Penn and Bob Shrum. Anyone who uses the expression Real America. We should send there ass to Gitmo!
[snip]
That's not it by a long shot. Check these "unbiased" journalists out proposing fascism because they are widdle bit scared of Fox News:
The very existence of Fox News, meanwhile, sends Journolisters into paroxysms of rage. When Howell Raines charged that the network had a conservative bias, the members of Journolist discussed whether the federal government should shut the channel down.I am genuinely scared of Fox, wrote Guardian columnist Daniel Davies, because it shows you that a genuinely shameless and unethical media organisation *cannot* be controlled by any form of peer pressure or self-regulation, and nor can it be successfully cold-shouldered or ostracised. In order to have even a semblance of control, you need a tough legal framework. Davies, a Brit, frequently argued the United States needed stricter libel laws.

Those Busch brothers aren’t going to take well to this. (Kurt is my boy!!!!!!)
I’m surprised Fox News gets such political credibility. I quit tuning in when Gary Condit became the most important person on the planet. Last time I saw it as when visiting relatives and Fox news oscillated between a story about a pop singer’s shaved head and a story about a rich dead woman in bermuda(?) and the paternity of her daughter. Wasn’t worth tolerating the insipid commercials for.
The MSM will never under any circumstances honestly report news of what is occurring in the world because that would seriously disturb their Leftist applecart.
They will massage and spin and bend and twist and lie and do whatever it takes no matter how ridiculous the result is.
And they must be all powerful and all controlling or there is the risk that some truth of a matter could ruin life by leaving a black mark on the now damaged psyche.
I have come to believe the country would be better off splitting into two nations. States like California could do a red county/blue county split. Let the “blue” part slide further into its inevitable economic and cultural demise.
So I take it you have ceased to watch any TV news at all?
Fox's celebrity fascination is standard fare for any TV news these days, but Fox is watchable mainly for their conservative pundits....typically absent anywhere else.
Also Fox does stories no one else touches (at all, in the USA at least) like the global warming data-fraud case from the UK, and the Black Panther trial abandonment. Every other network completely ignored those stories (at first, anyway).
Mine also....see screenname.
The quotes are both telling and chilling. If you want to know what the MSM really thinks, get them when they think no one is watching.
A friend of mine is thinking of attending the 8/28 rally in DC. I suggested that he wear a hidden camera and mike and try to record the “journalists” who will be covering it WHEN THEIR CAMERAS ARE OFF. I doubt he’ll go through with that suggestion, but I think it would be very revealing.
Eric Alterman is an old communist, wrote for the pro-Maoist weekly the “Guardian.” He’s also a wacko, which is probably why he was hired as a professor somewhere, probably NY.
I’m sure if you had details of various emails among conservative writers on election night 2000 or election night 2004 you’d see similar comments. To the victor goes the spoils, as they say.
Lets just hope election night 2010 and election night 2012 are a bit different.
I suggest taping this butthole to a racecar with duct tape in the next 500 miler...
You are right-I avoid the celebrity crap and appreciate the real reporting they do. Fox could be better, but it’s all we have for now. Talk radio is best IMO.
We are redneck, hear us roar...
Well, aren’t you sophistaced? I am surprised you read FR since many threads about those very undesirable subjects have been posted on here. Maybe you are just trying to impress yourself. I bet you hold your snifter the wrong way.
>> I bet you hold your snifter the wrong way.
There’s no right way to hold a snifter. Anything worth drinking is served neat.
So which of the State Run Media outlets are carrying the Journ0list story? Shine a light on a nest of Marxists and watch them scurry away.
