CUERNAVACA, Mexico -- The bodies of three escaped prisoners who escaped from a Mexican prison were found hanging from a bridge in the city of Cuernavaca, local officials said.
The bodies of the men, who escaped from the Atlacholoaya prison in Xochitepec Tuesday, were found in an area that has become a combat zone between members of the splintered Beltran Leyva drug cartel, which divided into warring factions since the death of co-founder Arturo Leyva in December, CNN reported.
Mexican-American Edgar Valdez, also known as "La Barbie," has claimed leadership of the cartel, but people loyal to the crime family's co-founder deny Valdez is the leader, federal police said.
CNN said Valdez is believed to be the first American-born organized crime cartel leader in Mexico.
Works for me.. we should implement the same justice here.
I’ll bet they’re glad Mexico doesn’t have the death penalty.
Did they really escape prison, or were they just kidnapped there and then dragged out and killed (or killed and then dragged out)?

Yeah, but that is probably the best dressed drug cartel in all of Mexico.

Reportedly all three were shot to death, and a note signed by the Beltran Leyva Cartel was pinned to them.
So they were shot after being hanged?? Maybe the shooters were concerned that the hanging might be too painful??!!
