A number of years ago In CA I sold a Glock 17 with two in its original box with tools, magazines, and documentation. I had a legal permit for its possession but not concealment. I Had gotten an offer from a gun shop to buy it. I decided to place the unloaded gun in the locked trunk of my car while I transported it to the shop. I suppose that constituted carrying a concealed weapon in violation of the law. But my alternative was to have it on the seat beside me in plain view. I did not want the hassle that would have ensued had I been stopped by a police officer for any reason. A true rock and hard place situation.
Buford Pusser was a social misfit?
So he wasn’t a Black man........nothing to see here, move along.
The premise of concealed carry is for the gun to be both hidden and immediately accessible. In order for it to be the latter, it is practically inevitable that at some time and in some place somebody will catch a passing glimpse of the gun tucked under a shirt or a jacket. It may not happen often and should not happen often, but it will happen.
And more importantly, the carrier does not deserve to be executed in cold blood simply because it happened.
No. I’m, simply, saying that from my perspective, (not being a cop-hater), it makes no sense for cops to “murder” someone, in front of scores of witnesses; many of whom, presumably, have cell-phones with cameras. Truth is important to me. Wild speculation is not.
We need fewer cops on taxpayer dole and more citizens carrying. Crime rate would be down and fewer wrongful shootings would occur.
It might be informative to know the race of the Costco employee who instigated the circumstance for the shooting, and the race of the rogue cops.
Does it really even matter if it includes “criminals”? Because by the definitions they use everyone who is shot by a cop is automatically a “criminal” because he was “resisting arrest” or “disobeying an order” or some other trumped up non-crime. Furthermore, does being a minor criminal offender mean execution by the cop is okay? Most cop shootings do NOT take down serial murderers. They take down people for offenses that would receive far less than the death penalty in a court of law.
Army Ranger wannabees. This is why law enforcement must be rolled back. They’ve got enough time to play dress up sodlier and more than enough desire to kill innnocent people.
It may not make sense, but it happened. People become cops for many reasons. Some might be insecurity and a need to control other people simply so they can feel better about themselves. Add adrenalin and poor training, and you have a public execution.
Im not up on NV laws, but in NM if its posted no firearms, .... having a CCW doesnt matter. You leave you piece outside.
Just like Susan Gratta Hupp did her firearm at the Luby’s in Texas, just before a mad man opened up and killed lots of people there.
Costco itself should voluntarily take the first step and offer a settlement to the guy's family, or face a similar lawsuit.
And all three cops should be booked on 2nd degree murder, with the penalties automatically elevated to 1st for the use of a firearm in commission of the crime.
Bovine Scat!
I love how the cops in that story admit absolutely no wrong for their own absurdly overblown response. Instead they blame their victim: “The one guy just used bad judgment.”
Bump to eventually find out what actually happened before overreacting myself.
This is the same country that passed prohibition.
This is the same country that has made a mockery of the 2nd amendment.
This is the same country that treats probable cause like a joke.
Liberty has not been seen in this country for a very very long time. Hell, people don't even invite her to dinner anymore.
An armed civilian usually fears his own weapon because he knows what it is capable of so he carries it with the utmost care and caution. An arrogant cop incorrectly thinks he has mastered his weapon, so he wields it carelessly. Sadly, most cops exhibit this trait.

What, exactly, did happen? Was it murder? Was it an accident? Was it justifiable homicide? Was poor training involved? Facts are immutable things! I wasn’t there! So, at the moment, I’m not in possession of the facts!
