The article talks about mile long fissures in the seafloor.

First, there are places out in the deep ocean where there are such rifts. They haven’t exploded yet, and they’ve been there a long time.

Second, while they talk about HUGE fissures, the only evidence is some video from the ROVCAMS showing tiny leaks of oil coming out of the seafloor. This didn’t start recently, but has been going on for longer than we have had OIL WELLS.

Saw this on the left wing boards this AM.

Didn’t think anyone here would be stupid enough to post such garbage.

I was wrong.

Well. Being just a few miles from the coast here in Fairhope, AL reports like this tend to grab one’s attention just a little bit.

But if it does happen those of us this close to the coast won’t have to worry about what comes next or how do we survive long term. For us there won’t be a next.

Exactly! My neighbor and I were examining the explosion using strong induction and a checklist of possibilities. We reached the conclusion that this was a terrorist act and probably was ordered by Sheik Obama.

I find it hard to believe there will be one huge catastrophic event such as explained; the Bible tells a different set of circumstances, with many plagues, famines, and earthquakes, but who knows? No one really does.

Political or industrial sabotage?

Perhaps today there is no difference between the two.

Well if its gonna happen there’s probably nothing we can do about it and there is no place to run to.

Logic would tell me that BP drained the pressure off and saved the world.

ALL the oil that has leaked out in the gulf at this drill hole in the last 90 days wouldn’t fill a cube 400 feet by 400 feet by 400 feet.

I know you are too stupid to do the math; but that is the fact. To believe that such an insignificant quantity of oil in an oil dome that is ten thousand feet by ten thousand feet by ten thousand feet is ludicrous.

Don't fret Neville72! After you've been around here for a month or so, you'll be able to figure out what's right to post and what's not.

“I’m still holding out for OilBama to try to blast the BP leak shut with a nuke.”

The Obama family is planning to go on vacation in Maine next week. Is that far enough away from the Gulf when this happens?

We need to drill like crazy and suck out all the oil and gas to relieve the pressure. Oh .. wait! We can’t do that! We wouldn’t be dependent on foreign oil any more.

The rest of the world had better get used to the fact that they may have to fix their own problems from now on. No more US to kick around and pay the bills.

Hey you UN critters, start packing your bags and plan to move to the Middle East or somewhere in Africa.

Plenty of near extinction level events (occurred in past) that are due: Massive Solar Flare, Yellowstone Supervolcano eruption, Katla (or other large volcano) eruption causing an ice age, Worldwide Pestilence, Gamma Ray Burst, Magnetic Pole Reversal, Iran nuking Israel (not yet), large commit strike, Massive Underwater Lava Eruption, etc...
