Logic would tell me that BP drained the pressure off and saved the world.
We need to drill like crazy and suck out all the oil and gas to relieve the pressure. Oh .. wait! We can’t do that! We wouldn’t be dependent on foreign oil any more.
I’ve never heard it explained exactly what happened. Was it that the pressure was more than they were prepared for?
