The Republican 'maverick' bends in the wind of Tea Party-style politics
When does being a maverick turn into a shameless flip-flopper? Pretty much about now, according to many observers of the long and storied political career of former Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
Senator McCain, pictured, is now caught in one of the toughest political fights of his life, facing off in a primary fight against the Tea Party-style challenger JD Hayworth. And he is doing it in Arizona, which has just passed a strict anti-illegal immigrant law so controversial the White House is taking it to court.
All this means that McCain's traditionally liberal attitudes to immigration reform were always likely to take a bit of a hit. But few people can have predicted just how far McCain would go in rowing away from the previous positions that won him praise as recently as 2007 when he co-sponsored reform legislation with famed liberal Senator Ted Kennedy.

McCain = Amnesty
What is so strict about this law? That it says lthat local police should check to see immigration status, and if someone is found to be out of status, theyre to turn them over? IE, enforce the law? If the WH goes against this law, it means that they WANT to allow illegal immigrants into America!
Come November 3rd he'll turn hard left so fast he'll risk whiplash.
RE: John McCain ditches his liberal past and turns hard right
If a man is not consistent with principles, you can be certain that after he gets elected, he will be swayed once again by the slightest blowing of the political winds.
Beware of such a person. Better, still, DO NOT ELECT HIM.
MCCAINIS RUNNING ATTACK ADS 24 HOURS A DAY HERE ON TV AND RADIO.
90% OF THEM ARE BARE-FACED LIES
NOTHING IS BENEATH MCCAIN.
NOT EVEN THE DEVIL HIMSELF!
It is ridiculous that many GOP Bashers (like you) here and elsewhere find some endorsement that Palin made to try to convince us that Palin is no good . These "conservatives" demonize Palin for a single endorsement(that of McCain) out of millions of conservative actions Palin has taken. That is ridiculous. And that they take over a forum like this with that argument is even more ridiculous. Hey, you Palin Bashers, you GOP bashing "conservatives" you might think you are conservatives or you are democrats/marxists posing as conservatives : but in either case you liberals/democrats/marxists drop your big government agenda and get a clue about economics by reading my profie. It's kinda hard to get a job or eat without the good economy that only Free Market Capitalism provides.
I am for the Republican governor of Arizona Brewer, Republian Christie and Republican Palin and I am for dismantling the thousands of government agencies that cripple our FREE MARKET CAPITALISM, the engine of the U.S. economy.
My plan:
As President I would:
1. ON day 1 I would order the military to deport all illegals deep into Mexico so that it would cause them great economic cost to get back. I would order the military to the border, patriot missiles, tanks, and nuclear missiles to the border with Mexico so that Mexico won't object to the deportation.
2. On day 2 , I order all heads of government agencies like the EPA, FCC, dept of interior, etc. to lay off of the free market. Later the plan is to dismantle all of these thousands of government agencies.
3. Explain economics to the American people and how government/socialism doesn't work( see my about page for why capitalism is 1000 times more efficient than government). This will facilitate reducing government, crippling government laws and regulations and instituting a flat tax of 12% in place of all other taxes. No taxes on business , no regulations on business.
4. Only functions of government are military, border control, international issues like trade and what comes into the country be it people or products etc., courts ,police, protecting the country from invaders, protecting individual rights like the right to life (including of the fetus), the right to free speech, the right to liberty, the right to be left alone, the right to bear arms etc.. Free market capitalism can produce anything people may need.
5. Ban unions.
6.Abolish the EPA, FCC, FEC, dept of education, government schools, the hundreds of taxes, the thousands of 2000 page laws that mandate government growth, the thousands of crippling government laws and regulations and agencies like the banking regulations and regulators now killing our economy .
7. Dismantle the welfare state. You don't work you don't eat, period no exceptions.
8. Dismantle social security ,medicare and every other useless government program and agency even NASA who is now doing global warming studies, Muslim outreach, gay outreach and other madness with billions of our tax dollars when they should be trying to blow up more people in space shuttles or going to Mars to get rocks like that is needed. many more
9... 100 but I have to go now to work to pay the government criminals who will in turn give my money they take from me at the point of a gun to those who won't work , those on welfare.
Hopefully Palin or Christie can do all this and more. If not by God someone should do it. REPUBLICAN Tancredo would. I would and I'm running too.
>ohn McCain ditches his liberal past and turns hard right
When asked why, a political analyst reportedly said: “Because thats the direction that he has to turn to in order to stab you in the back.”
But here's my thing. McCain is leading in the polls in AZ. I want to know *why* isn't Hayworth leading McCain by double digits? And before any of the usual suspects scream Sarah Palin, stop.
Tea Party candidates have done remarkable well across the country. Yet, here, with an incredible opportunity to unseat one of the most liberal republicans ever (esp. one so reviled by the Tea Party), Hayworth is failing. And failing big time.
I asked this question before and no one had a reasonable answer: why isn't Hayworth resonating with the people of AZ? I don't know much about his past when he rep'd AZ so I'm truly curious. From what I've seen in this campaign cycle, whoever is advising him, etc. is simply lost.
In the end, if Hayworth loses, perhaps the question everyone should be asking is, was he the best candidate to take on McCain?
Of course, one of the obvious things that gets overlooked is the simple fact that perhaps (as sad as it sounds), the majority in AZ like McCain. *shudders*.
Sorry John...a little too late...Just go away.
In other words, McLame has been talking to Sen. Bob “Dead-Man-Walking” Bennett and Sen. Orrin Hatch, who has been kicking conservatives in the teeth since Bush41 and is scared for his political future for the first time.
Everybody knows that McLame doesn’t mean what he says, he just pandering. This guy just needs to go spend the rest of his days at the beach house and the golf course.

Good one!
Captain Queeg! Excellent moniker!
The only person McNuts is right of, and just barely, is Rosie O'Fat and Bowrama!
MAN FALLS TO HIS POLITICAL DEATH REACHING ACROSS AISLE!
The media is always here. They are the cockroaches in the bathroom, the termites in the attic, the rats in the cupboard, and the snakes in the garden; all rolled into one. They are the vanguard of the enemy.
They spin, they lie, they omit, they selectively stress, they selectively repeat. Every headline and phrase and word and quote are designed to advance their agenda, condition the people, and frustrate their enemies.
They are immensely powerful. Democrats would be a permanent minority party without them. An honest media would be devastating for Democrats, liberals, and political correctness.
Why would anyone think she would?
This is what the Germans would have us believe.
