HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Local and federal investigators were at a northwest Houston home Friday night where an explosion sent a woman to the hospital.
The woman was opening a package left at her doorstep in the 2100 block of Seamist Court Friday evening. She had found the shoe-sized box in front of her home about a day ago but didn't decide to open it until around 6:30pm Friday.
~~~SNIP~~~
The woman was transported to Northwest Memorial Hospital with facial injuries that are not life-threatening.
Officials with the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, as well as the Houston Police Department's homicide and bomb squad were at the scene investigating.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the house was targeted, however, Eyewitness News found out the home is owned by an oil company executive.
This crime was probably committed by a watermelon. However, run of the mill people down here are plenty tweeked at BP and Obama at the moment. They are wrecking a whole way of life and livelihoods on the coast and they are hiding too much information (banning reporters, i.e.) and acting like disrespectful bullies. They are dealing with Southerners who don’t take kindly to being screwed - yet again. People are stewing. The usual steam valve of protests have been sealed by an ever growing police/miltary action and attitude here. It’s bad.
Corrupt bank and media Executives and polticians - citizens of the world - are going to see more and more violent backlash as the commies crash the economy, the health care system (target old people for death) and raise taxes beyond people’s ability to pay. I think it is going to get nasty and the backlash to the elite is not going to be limited to the usual suspects. People are losing everything...
You should have called its beeber to check first.
Excellent!
And they didn’t “catch” him. His brother ratted him out. The feds never would have caught him.
Is there a tie-in to BP?
The spirits are amazing.
They tell me he has an engineering degree, too.
Of course, I never said this is the right person. I'm just channeling.
From now until the first hard freeze in N California, members of our church will bring their surplus vegies, fruits, lemons/oranges and ? to church on Sunday.
There will be at least one table loaded with fresh/free goodies. Often there are more than one table loaded with the goodies.
My grand parents had about an acre+ of garden. They would put their extras on a box out by their driveway/street for neighbors or anyone, who was hungry to take what they wanted. This went on during the depression, WWII and the Korean War.
In their later years, Grand Dad had a stroke and their garden became minimal. Their neighbors built a nice wooden box with trays and put it on their front porch. It would be filled up with goodies donated by the neighbors. It was payback for decades of my grandparents’s generosity.
My grandmother had a few dozen hens, and she had a small egg and fresh chicken business (customers killed and cleaned their own chickens). She was a good Dutch business lady, however, her soft side made sure that deserving families got a chicken and eggs if they couldn’t afford them.
I spent a summer with my grandmother, who was a widow at that time. We never had to buy veggies, fruit, eggs and many other items.
Nah, beebers hadn’t been invented yet. :~)
hmmmmm..seems like rather small potato digs for an ‘evil big oil exec’. Perhaps this will turn out to be some kind of domestic dispute or industrial crime. Time will tell.
It’s bigger than it looks from the front, as it has expanded into part of the (formerly) adjacent lot. But yes, this is typical for an oil executive from a small exploration firm, from what I know. There are many “oil execs” who are not in “big oil.” That’s why it might be a bit misleading to focus on the eco side. Who knows the motivation, and the facts should just be stated as facts, IMHO, as they did.
That long ago? Are you series?! ;-)
In any case...funny story! :-)
Yep. (They also terrorized the son of a banker who was home alone.)
I believe this is the beginning of Obomas "civilian army."
Definitely Scorpio, not Sagittarius. It’s clearer now.
Is there a tie-in to BP?
I doubt it and that is not required for people who are seeing red. This is the problem with revolutionaries who are seeking revenge on the elite. They can be pissed off about one action (i.e. BP’s handling of this crisis) and take it out on all that runs under the same label. It is like racism in that way.
The perp was probably a water melon, don’t you think? I hope it is a water melon anarchist, taking on the mentality of a radical politcal cause of “no oil” and not just a run of the mill enraqed American taking on the mentality of “I gotta kill someone profiting in the oil industry for this.”
I’d suspect watermelon, too. In this case, we can forget about a good investigation of this, since our current government is 100% on the side of the watermelons.
“Who knows the motivation, and the facts should just be stated as facts, IMHO, as they did.”
well that’s no fun at all...lol. We would probably be horrified to know the true level of threats and intimidation now being directed at oil companies by the marxist eco snots. After all...the president is villifying them without measuring his tone. It won’t be long until some moron acts on the manufactured hatred. Mark my word.
Maybe it wasn’t addressed to her? I’ve left packages unopened for weeks, because they were addressed to a family member who was traveling at the time.
Well, you know 16 and 17 yr old HS boys would never do anything like that... < /sarc>
