Finally they did publish, finally there were eds about UNAbomber and related matters, and finally his brother came forward and agreed to talk under immunity.
So it was not just his brother who dimed him out, it was part of a big media/PR effort led by the Feds. Loyal brother would never have done it on his own.
They avoided lots of details from coming out, by telling UNAbomber that they would prove he was insane in court, so he plead guilty, and they went right into sentencing. Lots of things we would like to have known got buried right then.
