I suppose this restricted area is in Class B airspace so ATC would probably keep most incursions to a minimum. But it creates a headache for everyone.

9/2934 (#11): Tx.. Flight restriction. Dallas, Texas. Pursuant to 49 usc 40103(b), the federal aviation administration (faa) classifies the airspace defined in this notam as 'national defense airspace'. Any person who knowingly or willfully violates the rules concerning operations in this airspace may be subject to certain criminal penalties under 49 usc 46307. Pilots who do not adhere to the following procedures may be intercepted, detained and interviewed by law enforcement/security personnel. Pursuant to title 14, section 91.141 of the code of federal regulations, aircraft flight operations are prohibited within the following area(s) unless otherwise authorized by atc within a 1 nmr of 325321n/0964835w or the cve085004.8 up to and including 1500 ft agl effective immediately until further notice. Wie until ufn.

Certainly a 2 mile diameter and upto and including 1,500' AGL is not nearly an obstruction to general and commercial aviation as a 75 mile diameter (extended with obama) and 18,000' AGL put in place with little warning. It is still a pain though.

Found on the net:

"I was at Love the other day and a 767 in the pattern on a quick VFR test hop busted it, so said one of the line guys. "

Meanwhile, several hundred people (at least) violated our southern border tonight and elicited nothing stronger than a collective yawn from our government.

Yes it would have been tragic!

I mean WE THE PEOPLE would have been cheated out of his soon-to-be impeachment, treason trial and life imprisonment at Leavenworth at hard labor.

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!

My brother took flight lessons in Hagerstown, MD which is right next to the restricted air space for Camp David. He was told in no uncertain terms what would happen if he crossed into that space.

The fighters, on station to enforce the TFR, intercepted the first aircraft, a Cessna 210

Nice plane the guy has, if I do say so myself.

A 210 is not a slow aircraft, with 275 horses... but still, I've always wondered how an F-16 can intercept any small GA aircraft, slowing up enough to greet the errant pilot without stalling.

How large are those restrictions? Obama is going to vacation a few minutes from out home. We have a lot of celeb air traffic in our area during the summer. There may be some hollywood grumbling going on soon.

I read that article in 2008, but reread it just now It talks also about how poorly the Obama campaign was run. Very telling, esecially given as how Obama used his campaign as THE example of his executive experience.

Air Force structure is so screwy that they had to scramble jets from Colorado. Nellis is two minutes away from Vegas by F-16.

Obama air space violated by not so rare species of feces eating fly.

I might get banned for saying this, but AF1 must smell really horrid after having had Michelle and Barack on it for more than a year.

Only if you don't like a skunky, funky smell coming from the President's quarters.

I am surprised that any private aviation is allowed in the North East corridor.

Hope he goes to MV or Nantucket this summer.

Aircraft restriction will prevent any of the swells from flying in.

So, ‘violating’ the president’s “personal space” warrants military action, but mass violations of our borders do not?
Seriously, messed up.

The woman is just dripping with class, ain't she? Yep. Feet on OUR furniture on AF1!! And Barry in the background, stuffing his face as usual on OUR dime. That guy must have the munchies 24/7...he's always eating, LOL!
