The military scrambled two F-16 fighters jets Friday morning after two small private aircraft violated restricted air space related to President Barack Obama's visit to Las Vegas, Nevada, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said.
Both planes that violated the restricted airspace landed at nearby airports and were met by authorities, NORAD said.

It seems our right's are increasingly made subservient to paranoid federal tyrants for baseless, unconsitutional and frivolous reasons.

NORAD’s mission in close collaboration with homeland defense, security, and law enforcement partners is to prevent air attacks against North America, safeguard the sovereign airspaces of the United States and Canada by responding to unknown, unwanted and unauthorized air activity approaching and operating within these airspaces, and provide aerospace and maritime warning for North America. NORAD may be required to monitor, shadow, divert from flight path, direct to land and/or destroy platforms deemed a potential threat to North America.
NORAD is the bi-national Canadian and American command that is responsible for the air defense of North America and maritime warning.
Yep,, more pilots than any other time in history,, Hate the POTUS... must protect this piece of human excrement!
The way this puke is traveling all over the country every day, I’m surprised any private aircraft can fly. We’re going to need a new AF1 when this jerk gets fired.
Playing golf.....
hillary on her broom?
Amen Brother, and is it isnt him it’s Biden out fund raising for Dems or Big Butt flying around like a queen.
In May, I was told by an AMA official that he's had to send out over 100 of these things since The One ascended. He said that there were plenty of PO'd people when Hawaii was essentially shut down while the Obamas vacationed there at Christmas time.
Yes, and the a$$ tied up Las Vegas for a full day...
Yep. NORAD should be able to see the combined Russian/Chinese attack on the USA well before it gets here. The problem is, we won’t be able to stop it and our country will be wiped off the map.
Also, remember that we no longer will launch on warning.
At least the US Taxpayers didn’t have to spring for it.
There is something about an F-16 going vertical with afterburner in front of your windscreen that really gets your attention. It happened to me once but I guess since he/she didn't form up off of our wing that it was just MOA traffic and they were probably just using us for intercept training.
Seriously, these extremely large airspace restrictions in maximum deference to the Pharaoh/King/VIP and to hell with the concerns of peasants needs to stop. They should check out "www.gotomeeting.com" or everyone travel to see the "Pharaoh/King/Queen" as has been the procedure throughout history.
Bush has one now around his house in Dallas just a few miles from the DFW airport.
These are a pain but nothing like excessive 60 mile diameter restricted zones put in place around AF1 or Marine1 landings.
