He's 16 and likes to text his g/f (girlfriend), even when he drives his mom's car.
But, OMG (oh my gosh) -- this time it's going to cost him -- or, more likely, his mom.
Jason Cordell, of Wyoming, is among the first -- if not the first -- ticketed for driving while texting in West Michigan. Fines and costs total $150 for the offense.
She hopes her son learned his lesson.
"Except, he don't have a job, so mom's gotta pay the ticket," she said. "So, it's kind of a lesson to me."

Kid got no job,
Momma should say No car.
Get job, buy your own car.
Didn’t have to have a job to get my own car (family had plenty of them), but I did have to have a job to pay for the insurance and gasoline.

Wow, you weren't kidding.
Excellent video.

Mine, Army green 69 Dodge Dart....$55(actually $50....found $5 under the seat)....easily the best car I ever owned.
Those local high school girls did a good job on the acting. They were very believable. Gotta wonder if it changed their habits.
Yeah Darts and Dusters were some decent cars. Slant 6?
Yes sir....great motor. Low maintenance....good power.
Oh! Don’t remind me. Sold my daddy’s slant six in ‘95. Didn’t know what a treasure it was. Just that it was a pain to fix.
I mean slant 6 Duster.
Heh no they were all perfectly running, but all 10 to 20 years old. 5 cars. Two daily drivers, one van, one truck, and one extra that got handed town to me when my mom bought a new (to her) daily driver.
By the time I was 18 I owned two cars free and clear, not counting the one handed down to me.
