Thanks for sharing that. You have done your best and she will
see that. It was smart to be up-front with her concerning the
health problems. Better she find out from you.......

Your mom has hung in there through thick and thin.

He just went back, is doing duty in Montana.(I think) He stopped by with his girlfriend when he was home....Love him very much and he is one great kid turning into one great man.

He never has left my company without saying I love you Grandma. I will add that he has always been a babe magnet and jock in High School..does everything with quiet passion..His father served 9 years in the Air Force.

Grammy rocks. I just wish i still had my dad around to share my joy seeing kids grow up as much as he loved. Now there is a true idol, my dad. None better. He set a benchmark I know i’ll never reach, but i’ll sti;; try to my last breath to acheive.

My girlfriend has stuck with me for 4.5 years, too. I have built a good support system. I credit tem and my canteen laidies with my survival. She does a great job playing second to my babies. God that hurts me to not put her on the pedestal she deserves. She’s a far superior female role model to my 4 daughters than their own mom.

Four daughters? My God, man, how is it you still have your sanity? (j/k!) Congrats...

Occasional nights like tonight. The Canteen (seriously!) and beer. And fishing.

One of my babies made varsity cheerleading as a freshman, i used to thing August footballl double sessions were tough, it's NOTHING compared to what cheerleaders face nowadays! July what, 8th, she has practice every day ubtil school starts!

They’re damp!

We got sprinkled on this afternoon - should be getting heavy showers here soon. There were big thunderheads all around, but no big rains to go with them.

August football practices WERE hard! Especially in Phoenix.

2-a-day cheerleading practices sounds like the school wants the kids to be really good. Since she made the squad, I ‘spect she will indeed be good and ready by the time the football season starts!

Both of my granddaughters were cheerleaders. That was some rigorous practice they went thru along with cheerleading camp (and some expense as well)!

I really like your approach to kids....yours and their friends. Sounds like you may be the only “parent” some of them may have. Caring goes a long way and will be remembered forever.

You are, for sure, making a positive investment in their future.

Unfortunately, thunderstorms are about the only way we get rain down here.

Doing my best to be as Fredlike ( like my dad did for me) as I can. An unattainable goal I’ll forever strive for.

Life is tough, albeit very very rewarding, to be singularly focused on being the best dad i can be.

Tonight has been a rare break. I had a few beers, reconnected with great freinds, and got some great, and neeeded, pats on the back. You cool chickan and dudes have no idea how well you bolster not just regular guy, but your work for our true heros, our troops, pays off.

You re the friggin best. Keep at it!
