How about that duckboat ride in Philly whacked by a barge?

Man, I worked on the big dig in Boston, we’d always try to do our best to make the duckboat riders feel apart of the town, that sure would suck to know one went down with someone we had conversed with 10 minutes before!

I hope they find the missing two alive and well, but I’m doubtful. :(

'83 at 11 pm'.....I can only guess what your day time temperature was.

When I was a kid and the heatwaves of late summer would roll in, my father would string up net hammocks for us to sleep in nights. It was cooler that way; we never had AC them.

I’m in CT and the heat has been pretty bad, not so bad tonight. Execting a cold front on saturday, so probably just hang with my babies as the storms pass, but hoping to get some offshore fishing in friday night, and probably take my babies (incoming HS freshman) to sixflags with the Ford Exploder loaded with friends.

How about you? Are you near water? Only way I could live up there is fishing was really close by, preferably a small scale commercial operation that paid the bills.

We didn’t have ac either.

We had a monster fan up in the attic.

It exhausted so there was always a breeze being pulled through the house.

In WWII, they used amphibious vehicles to transport soldiers. If you watched Band of Brothers, ou saw many of them. Most cities now use them for a combined bus ride tour with a tour from the water as well.

In WWII, they looked like this:

In Boston, they now look like this:

As a guy who spent 13 years working in Boston, and growing up in massachusetttes, I'd vouch for the fact it's definitely worth the cost of the ride!
