What was missing was any sign of skimming operations from Horn Island to Pass Christian. U.S. Rep. Gene Taylor got off the flight angry. I can only conclude that this is deliberate. The leak may have been started by accident, but the disaster is clearly exactly what Obama wants. He does not want to limit the damage. He wants to wreck the economy of the entire gulf region. He is actually standing in the way of clean up and relief efforts.

Here's the biggest one in the world still tied up at Hampton Roads, VA. It can process 500,000 barrels a day and is still waiting for the EPA and Coast Guard red tape to unravel and permits to join in. Nobody seems to have any idea when it will be allowed to head to the Gulf - or even if it will be allowed to do so.
