Just read that you’ll be off for the full moon. That is great news! Don’t even go near a phone! LOL!

Happy weekend!

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.
That photo of the troops in the Baylough Bazaar is scary. See all those covered doorways? Ambush waiting to happen. Good thing Angels walk with our troops.

I snagged the Marine and his pup on the hill.

The DC Metroland weather report

~ Today...Partly cloudy. High around 90F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

~ Tonight....Mostly clear. Low 69F. Winds light and variable.

We were under a severe storm watch last night but it missed the homestead. Less humid this morning.

It hit 100 yesterday (I saw 104). A possible break in the high temps by next week (we'll see).

I noticed on the weather channel last night that almost all of the lower states are having really high temps. I do not envy those in TX, NM, AZ and such.

Ok, gotta run. Opened email this morning and found a lot of things to do today. I'll be in lurker mode rest of the day.

Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

Now remember, the Canteen is OPEN

Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Are you getting sick of commencment speakers?

Oddly enough, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz was a speaker at both and gave almost the same speech, but he was lively and entertaining. Otherwise, the junior high teachers were better speakers than high school speakers. The HS principal droned on and on and gave 10-minute intros to every student receiving an award (including two stories for a double winner).

I'm glad I chose not to walk behind the students at my school's graduation, so I won't have to sit through the entire ceremony. I can watch from the sidelines (literally, actually, because it's on the football field).

Pool’s ready. I try to get out there and “clean it” every day. From the inside, of course. Sometimes, it’s the only way to cool off when you get overheated inside the house.

Well, everything is going OK. Some places in OK and TX got some much needed rain. We stayed dry here though.

Now to get your BP up everybody, the aclu [anti-christ legal union] and that wacko “church” from Kansas has won the right to protest the Funeral of Cpl. Michael Bailey USMC, in Mo. The judge went aginst the State of Mo.’s law about such things & went as far as to warn the sheriff’s dept. about defying his order.

So calling all PRG’s! All hands on deck! Prepare to repel boarders!
