The Flyboy has the advantage of knowing the cook - he gets to order his special; something about different seasonings and all.
Anyone can order their steak anyway they want, but it helps to know what’s available in the kitchen!

No Tas...it get's miserable. Our dry heat turns to wet heat.
Sometimes we get rain...some years not so much.
Sometime we get crazy wild thunderstorms!
It's the worst of times in AZ weather wise.
We oft get sandstorms called *Haboob*

Me and my trusty chair....
We snuck out of work about 40 minutes early and headed for the Park Strip and the Military Memorial area to attend my first Tea Party event here in Anchorage. There have been 2 others, but at noon on Tuesday and Wednesday....the others have been in Wasilla, about an hours drive north.
We heard some music, then we all sang the National Anthem, 1st and 4th verses...they passed out the words to the 4th. Then the Invocation. Then a really good speaker, the afternoon drive guy on the station I listen to every day. He is one of the founders of the Conservative Patriots Group. I like them alot. I like the candidates they are endorsing.
The next speaker was a Gold Star Mom. She has a pickup painted with all sorts of tributes to our soldiers. I loaned my camera out, and forgot to borrow my Dad's. *sigh* Her son, PFC Jessy S Rogers, 4th of 13 kids, was killed in Afghanistan, with 4 others, in an IED attack in July 2007.
Then a lone piper played Amazing Grace....I cried.
Hot dogs and HUGE cupcakes were had by all. A good couple hours.
"We must take back our country....we must elect conservative value candidates." "We must elect canditates who believe that the Constitution is NOT a living document."

We don’t get as hot as you guys but we always have the humidity.
Sand storms look wicked.

Well they have several names; Woodchucks, Whistle Pigs and Groundhogs, as in Punxatawny Phil up in Pennesyvania.
Hunting for them isn't as easy as it sounds.

One of my coworkers rescued a baby ground hog from a flooded out den.
Had the furball litter box trained.
It whistled at him to be picked up.

They’ll whistle when they see ya. Actually they’re pretty cute but they can sure tear up a garden or bust up a tractor’s front axle.

Good evening, Mooch, and Gut Shabbes to you. I just got home from my first Tea Party.
Did you write your book review yet? Nice weather? It was gorgeous here today in the afternoon/evening. I took a raincoat to work just in case I needed it for the Tea Party, but the bright blue sky came out about noon, and the rainy looking clouds are just now showing up near the mountains and working their way overhead.
