Lucky you. The rest of us were treated to graphic descriptions of the troll’s pedophile rape fantasies. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever read. I literally vomited it was so bad.

And yet the troll lives?

Yep. One of life’s mysteries. I’ve seen other trolls allowed to keep posting, but this one’s the worst I’ve seen.

Time has a way of remedying that.

A blood sample wouldn’t even be needed — a cheek scraping would suffice. I’d be very concerned, of course, about this data pointing back to even a region — under Bummercare, it might be used to throttle back care to certain regions genetically expected to encounter a greater than normal illness rate (or worse illnesses) in later life.

Oh, now I get it. I wondered why the troll would have such a name, but when you put it that way, it fits.

Sounds like something which could put an end to innocent people being convicted of crimes...

Having tax deductions for children is one of the slimiest liberal moves to inject the government into the family and control the people.

Nobody can “control” somebody else’s DNA just by possessing a sample of it. And if this can help get a national biometric ID system in place, I’m all for it. I’m tired of people committing all sorts of crimes, including vote fraud by both citizens and illegal aliens that steals my tax dollars and neutralizes my votes, by pretending to be someone other than who they really are. We have NO way of really determining who anyone IS, and that needs to change.

Really? It needs to change?

So, what is it with FReepers advocating this kind of draconian, Big Brother control of our lives?

Might as well have cameras trained on each citizen 24 hours a day and location anklets or something. Or maybe minders.

Pre-emptive lobotomies?

Do you know what the FedGov would really do with a database that big?

They’d eff it up and have chronic errors that would put innocent citizens in legal jeopardy. They wouldn’t get it right anymore than they will get healthcare right.

It’s just one more way for citizens to be abused by uncaring lazy bureaucrats.

Can we just stop giving the government ever expanding power and authority over every facet of our lives in the name of safety and crime fighting. It’s a bogus promise they will never deliver on.

It reminds me of that movie in which Tom Cruise starred; “Minority Report”.

Yes I do & if you read my 2nd post to Metmom I agreed with her. Sad because if it was used for the right reasons it might actually help solve crimes etc. However as I said I believe that the govt will take it no matter what if they want it bad enough. I don't trust this govt one bit. Plus the fact that they have not entered felons/rapists etc DNA in all states into the system yet either! And it has been years! Here in NJ you are a felon you pay to have your DNA taken & entered in the system. So it is just another mess.

I don't know why they need our babies DNA & I shudder to think of what this new health-care will do with it. Frankly it is none of their d-mn business. If I were ever to have another child & this was going on I would not have my child in a hospital. I don't trust hospitals either. I get MRSA each time I go into them. Enough is enough. I want my health care info private, I want less of the govt in my life & I see the future as pretty bleak for my children. But I am not giving up & will do what I can to fight off things like this & more.

For the sake of discussion, let's say that this new affront on personal freedom and privacy could help eliminate the problem of lawlessness.....are you willing to let the folks who have managed the graves at Arlington Cemetery, the NIH with vaccines, voter registration, the court system, i.e. the government whether it be state or federal be responsible for the records of who is who? Whatever small amount of good something of this magnitude might facilitate, I can only think of the nightmare of the data base being corrupted for any reason. Wrong name, wrong social security number filed with DNA sample = one big a$$ nightmare. No thanks. Really, no thanks.

Once the natural barriers of the sanctity of the body are broken down, it won't be long before that chip comes with it. I won't be participating, with all due respect. I've made my choice.

I wonder how giving birth or being born fits in to the Interstate Commerce Clause.
