South Carolina's Democrats are poised to decide whether to overturn the results of the primary election that saw Alvin Greene, an unemployed military veteran, win the nomination for U.S. Senate.
The state party's executive committee is meeting Thursday in Columbia to hear a protest by former state lawmaker Vic Rawl, whom Greene defeated in the June 8 primary.
Rawl has said malfunctions in voting machines or software may have caused him to lose race. He said voters have told him they meant to vote for him but saw Greene's name on their screens instead.
The executive committee could uphold the election, order a new primary or find that problems were so significant that Rawl should be declared the winner.

Dems: The vote doesn't count. We will simply decide who wins.

Wonder what the dim-bulbs would say if many voters wrote in that they thought they were voting for McCain but instead pulled the Loon lever.
Ya think they’d want to overturn the farce, er, election?

Next sentence in article (left off excerpt) important:
"So far no evidence of tampering or voting abnormalities have been determined and South Carolina's Board of Elections told FoxNews.com it has no plans to investigate the vote."

Was this primary open to crossover voting by Republicans? I assume not, since I haven't seen that accusation.

Didn’t Al Franken win the same way?
To: Domandred
elections are beginning to mean nothing anymore...don’t like the results just throw them out and pick who you want....or just keep recounting until you muster up enough ballots from trunks of cars etc to give you the win....
To: Domandred
they meant to vote for him but saw Greene’s name on their screens instead
Or, maybe they saw Pat Buchanan’s name.

I was thinking the same thing, but I haven’t seen anyone making that accusation either. It’s been all “problems” with the voting machines (read: a bunch of whiners that lost and won’t admit it)

I don’t know if the primary is open but the Republican Governors primary was a big deal so I doubt any republicans would choose to vote dem just to give Greene the nomination.
To: Domandred
Exactly, a vote is a vote and any claim after the election results that machines MUST have been busted are corrupt sour grapes.
If the Dems do that, they should be challenged in court under racketeering laws for messing with an election.
