I promise you, if Republicans could have rigged any voting machines, they would have made sure Nikki Haley won by 51 percent, instead of 49 percent, to avoid next week's runoff.

Obama senior adviser David Axelrod said Greene was not a “legitimate” candidate and called his victory “a mysterious deal.” (Yes, how could a young African-American man with strange origins, suspicious funding, shady associations, no experience, no qualifications, and no demonstrable work history come out of nowhere and win an election?)”

Ann...you are the funniest woman on the planet, I swear.

What really angers the Democrats is that Greene has just demonstrated how Obama got elected.

How do liberals imagine Republicans pulled that off? Mesmerize the Democrats into voting for an idiot? If they could do that, John McCain would be president.

He may be an idiot, but he's our idiot.

No, wait. He's their idiot too.

As bad as Obama is, and he's bad, I console myself with the fact that, at least, McCain will never be president. Obama will never be president either, not legally, but thats another thread.

The funniest line in this, one of her all-time funniest columns.

Is it possible that Rawl campaign got him on the ballot to allow larger campaign donations (for having a contested primary run)?

Chris Matthews asked guests: "Do you think this has the look of a dirty trick -- sort of a Watergate number?" Watergate, you'll recall, involved the Nixon White House trying to persuade a mildly retarded black man to run for the Senate.

The key to Greene's victory, you see, is that he got more votes. How do liberals imagine Republicans pulled that off? Mesmerize the Democrats into voting for an idiot? If they could do that, John McCain would be president.

I suspect what happened maybe similar to something I saw back in Oklahoma in the 50s.

Since this was before TV advertising, most campaigning was done thru Town Hall kind of meetings. All the candidates would show up in different small towns on the same night and would give their campaign speeches. Pretty dull stuff.

There was this old peanut farmer who ran every campaign for county sheriff. He was a joke but his speeches were funny. He could draw a crowd. He actually said that the only reason he ran was because the other guys paid him to run because he could get people to show up. FYI, one of his campaign planks was that he would sell all the sheriffs cars saving money. After all, he said he didn’t own a car, he walked every where he went, and the sheriff deputy’s could do the same.

Well, one year, people were pretty fed up with the candidates for sheriff and a lot of folks decided they’d vote for the peanut farmer as a protest. He came within a whisker of winning but he missed 50% by about 100 votes. He lost the runoff by a landslide when folks realized what they’d almost elected.

Ann clips off more talent when she trims her fingernails than exists in the entire liberal media establishment... going back several generations.

This column is an Ann Coulter masterpiece.
My favorite lines:

Obama senior adviser David Axelrod said Greene was not a "legitimate" candidate and called his victory "a mysterious deal." (Yes, how could a young African-American man with strange origins, suspicious funding, shady associations, no experience, no qualifications, and no demonstrable work history come out of nowhere and win an election?)

LOL!
