WASHINGTON - Americans have become just as dissatisfied with President Barack Obama's work on the Gulf oil spill as they were with his predecessor's handling of Hurricane Katrina, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll released Tuesday.

So the disapproval rating is the same. Despite the massive media onslaught against Bush on Katrina and the massive support of BO by the media.

This clown isn't qualified to be the local Chairman of any metropolitan transportation authority or School Board, let alone the Presidency. Sham and fraud.

I have always considered Katrina to be the most OVERRATED
“disaster” in American history.
1. The city had plenty of warning, but ignored it.
2. The mayor and governor showed total incompetence.
3. Katrina was only a Cat 3, by the time it hit New Orleans.
4. While the levies failed and caused flooding, the indigent
black population had plenty of time to evacuate.
Someone tell me what the federal government could have done, but did not.

Big difference in the overall poll numbers: Bush’s disapproval came after five years of leftist hammering and after some unpopular big spending programs that alienated his base. Obama is still getting some leeway as “new,” but even that is fading.

I have trouble figuring out exactly what Bush did wrong regarding Katrina.
I see him bashed constantly for it, even on FR, but I still think he did a fine job handling it.

I guess the "tingle" is all but gone - ah well, most star-crossed infatuations end in misery, sooner or later.

“I have trouble figuring out exactly what Bush did wrong regarding Katrina.”
He did nothing wrong.
It is just the pseudo popular trendy thing to blame Bush for everything, including hangnails, and to proclaim Obambie to be the lord god and savior of the universe.

This is an AP poll. Obama is probably much worse off than this poll shows.

He delayed sending in rescue crews for a couple of days because they were being shot at, is what it all comes down to.

Americans were not unhappy about Katrina until the presstitutes lied for day after day after day and the big lie became truth.
The presstututes are not fit to breathe American air.

Like I said, he gets blamed here on FR as well for Katrina, not just among those who think of Obama as Messiah.
Very strange. I think he did almost everything right in that whole mess.
