MSNBC tearing Obama a new one as a total failure on the oil spill (!)

Sorry. I just had to stop a moment and look outside to see if a flock of pigs was flying by. MSNBC is giving Obama both barrels. The usually loathsome Olbermann and the tingly Chris Matthews are tearing into Obama as if he were George W. Bush. They are furious and amazed at tonight's Obama lie fest on the Gulf oil spill. They usually lap-up like poodles Obama's lies, bullying, and incompetence. Not tonight. They are damning him for being completely useless in both stopping the spill and communicating to the public about it. They are all over him for his utter incompetence to lead and are also all over Obama's solution to everything: lie; bully, sue, and create another 50 commissions of Harvard fools and Nobel Prize winners. They wonder aloud how Obama's approach to anything can succeed. They are even damning Obama's use of the speech to call for a switch to Dilithium Chambers, Zero Point Modues, Naquada Generators, and dried unicorn poop to move us swiftly away from fossil fuels. Folks, we may be seeing the end of the Obama Atrocity. One can hope.

I would be the first to admit that it’s not so much Obama’s fault as it is simply that the government is impotent to fix this.

I agree with your sentiment, but the fact that there have been so many screw ups in the clean up process is Obama's fault. After one week of the oil spill, Obama should have called BP's CEO and asked him what he needed to get the job done, and Obama should have then done whatever necessary to get those resources. Likewise, he should have done the same thing with the governors of each impacted state. His lack of action was pathetic.

Some have argued that Obama is protecting taxpayer dollars by insisting that BP pay for the clean up. This of course is hypocrisy. Since when did Obama care about tax payer dollars?
