Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) says US Senate candidate Alvin Greene's (D-SC) win in last week's primary race is highly suspicious.
Clyburn says South Carolina used voting machines that all other states rejected. In fact, they were bought from Louisiana, he said.
"Something went wrong with these machines," Clyburn said. "They were very unreliable," he added.
"All you need is a magnet" to compromise the machines, Rep. Clyburn said.
Who would have a motive? "The motive could very well be to embarass the Democratic party. This could be embarassing if we do not get it worked out. Or this could be someone who wanted to ensure a victory [for incumbent Sen. Jim DeMint]," Clyburn said.
Clyburn concluded there is a "great possibility" that someone paid for him to run and tampered with the machines.

VERY GOOD QUESTION!........................
Whoever did this picked a candidate that they were 99% sure would not get any votes on his own merit: No political history and no commercials. Next they considered the fact that blacks don't turn out for primaries and the supposition that white voters won't vote for an unknown black (That is, if they did their homework and found out he was black. But then, his name, Greene, is a common black name in the south).
No matter who did this and why, I can't wait to read the book!
Obama will find a way to advance his socialistic version of voting overhaul I am sure.
He will fail, he will be fugitive on the run if he loses the next election, so if anything he will act like a rat in a bucket on this issue I bet.
FYI — that should read “Rep. Clyburn” ... not “Sen” .. the “Sen” part is from a bad copy/paste attempt where it read “SC-Sen.”
Since this was a democrat primary, wouldn’t this mean that democrats cheated democrats in tampering with the results?
The ‘rats are claiming that some GOP operatives got Greene elected in order to embarrass them.
You see, ALL democRat politicians are morally and intellectually superior, so this guy obviously can’t be one of them...
To a Democrat, a free election is defined by who won.
Yes, but when he starts talking about tampering with the machines, etc. he is inadvertently implicating democrats because they are the ones that run their primary elections.
A stump turtle?
My guess is that he doesn't even know. After hearing Greene interviewed, I conclude that he does not have two firing brain cells.
No chads in SC? Bummer.
How does one embarass the party of the jackass?
Clyburn is clearly a Clymer.
When you drive along a long Texas road and come upon a turtle on a fence post, you stop because it’s such a strange thing. You realize the poor thing did not get up there by himself, he does not know how he got there, you just know he does not understand what he’s doing there, and you know he doesn’t know what he’s going to do next. Then you realize you have to do what you have to, to help the dumb bastard down
Major League.
TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE, CLYBURG! Is that how you won? Vote tampering?
Clyburn is lying. All he’s doing is stirring up paranoia. He has zero evidence that this election was tampered with in any way. You have to be very stupid or very suspicious to believe this.
The technical term is “mononeurono,” that is only one neuron, and doubtful if it’s firing. The Washington Post did such a complete hatchet job on the guy I felt sorry for him. But I think he probably wouldn’t be any worse than many of the anointed Democrats who are already in Congress.
Clyburn shares his wisdom regularly on various MSNBC programs.
