Here is shocking video of North Carolina Democrat Rep. Bob Etheridge being asked by some students on a public sidewalk in Washington, D.C. if he supports the Obama Agenda. Once he realized the students were asking him that question, he went bonkers. Etheridge hit their camera and then grabbed one of the students by the arm as he repeated over and over Who are you, Who are you? Tell me who you are? The students identified themselves as such, but Etheridge persisted. At one point he then grabbed the student whose arm he had been holding onto and pulled himself up beside himself with his arm wrapped around the student. The student repeatedly asked the Congressman to let go of my arm.
There is no scenario under which this kind of behavior is acceptable. Etheridge represents the 2nd District in North Carolina, and faces a tough re-election battle. This video ought to seal his defeat. Its time for voters to say to Etheridge, Who are you to treat people like this?

He’d be trying to pick up his teeth with broken fingers
I just called Etheridges Raleigh office and asked if he was drunk when he assaulted that college student.
The lady answering the phones got very huffy and said she was “sure he wasn’t drunk.” She said the press secretary would be making a statement.
Then she hung up on me when I asked when she expected the Congressman would be charged with assault.
;^)
Elected officials should never view themselves as the lecturing “grownup” when dealing with any citizen,,,ever. Inexcusable.
this needs emailed to local NC outlets...it will get coverage if enough send it on.
I started emailing his Facebook friends asking them how they felt about their congressman assaulting a student.
I even found one of his friends who had a badge on in his photo, asked if he was a cop, and asked him his opinion on the video.
Of course, I expect to get answers back like ‘the kid deserved it’.
I just sent $25 to Renee Elmers. She looks like a suitable replacement.
I sent it to the NC GOP first thing this morning. Their communications guy thanked me and was shocked.
It has now gone out to their entire e-mail list. :)
You guys should watch this. There’s another link at - http://www.breitbart.tv/congressman-assaults-student-on-washington-sidewalk/.
It’s emotionally wrenching and while I won’t conjecture on what “should” have happened, it goes without saying that Etheridge’s attitude (unfortunately) mirrors that of the majority of our national leadership at the moment. They believe that they “rule” over those who they have sworn to “serve”. Moreover this, they don’t even see what’s coming in November.
The problem with his attitude and his violent tendencies is the same with all of his types. They resort to violence as an immediate and first solution. They’ve illustrated this numerous times over in the past. But in November when they are removed from power, we have no reason to believe they’ll act differently. They are powerful, and violent. A very bad combination indeed. People like him should carefully weigh the fact that the U.S. Secret Service can’t babysit ALL of them, and that all of them are susceptible to the same violence which they resort to so easily, even though those that oppose them aren’t quick to use it against them.
If the interviewers hadn’t been young and so easily frightened, I think the encounter would have ended quite differently for Etheridge. Also, at a minimum the students should have him charged with simple assault if they haven’t already.
Contact his friends on Facebook and ask if they still support him. There are over 800 people on his friend list.
Don’t be weak.
If you don’t stand up to these people, they get away with these things.
Your vote has no effect on these people.
Smart money says that if you hold your breath waiting for a response you’ll have cold blue lips when you get it.
It was already on Renee Ellmers’ factbook page, but I added it to our tea party facebook page, the Everyday Patriots’ facebook page, and I sent it to a couple of key politically-active people. It’s viral!
I was listening to Beck radio show on the way to work this AM and he played the audio and said he WILL show the video on his TV show today!
I think the student handled things perfectly.
The video depicts a Congressman (D) bullying a respectful young student working on a project. Had the student physically defended himself, the encounter would be described as a fight involving a violent, right-wing extremist.
Great!
Her campaign manager is a friend of mine. I sent it to him first thing this morning.
I also sent it to the NC GOP communications director, who has already e-mailed it to their entire list!
I’ve also sent it to the local news affiliate, WRAL TV in Raleigh.
Their web editor e-mailed me back and said, “We are working on a story about it.”
Who the heck are you? A congressman assults a couple of college kids for asking if he supports 0b0z0’s agenda and you don’t have a problem with that. You know damn well that the lefties would be in apocolyptic rage if a conservative assulted any liberal “dissenter” like this. Get back to DU land, troll!
I already sent it to Drinking w Bob, Celente, Business Insider, and a lot of others.
I’m sure the regulars are already getting this vid.
