The Mexican government continues to oppose enhanced U.S. border security while Mexican cartels smuggle thousands of criminals and terrorists into the United States. The Obama administration continues to tolerate this national-security nightmare out of fear of offending the Mexican government and its allies in the National Council of La Raza.

Mexico's opposition to border security is rooted in the flow of money back to Mexico from the 20 to 30 million Mexican citizens working in the United States. ... over $25 billion in 2007 – has led the Mexican government into an unholy partnership with the drug cartels. Both want open borders, and paint the American concern for border security as racist and "anti-Mexican."

What most Americans do not understand is the drug cartels control both drug smuggling and human trafficking ; they work for the cartels, and the cartels set the prices and make the rules.

(OTMs) are also smuggled across the border by the same networks. Individuals from Brazil, Egypt and Nigeria pay $5,000 to $10,000 each.

The terrorist organization Hezbollah is operating in Mexico and Latin America and is paying the drug cartels big bucks to get its agents into the United States. "High value" individuals from Pakistan, Yemen, Iran and Afghanistan pay from $20,000 to $50,000 to Mexican cartels to get into the United States.

If 15,000 to 25,000 individuals from terrorist-friendly countries are coming across our borders successfully each year, that means that since Sept. 11, 2001, most likely over 200,000 such individuals from terrorist-friendly countries have crossed our southwest border and are now residing in our communities.

Last year, 200 agents were moved from the Tucson Sector to the Canadian border, and Obama is planning to reduce total manpower in the Border Patrol by 2,000 in the coming year.

The case of convicted alien smuggler Anthony J. Tracy raised national security concerns because of his contacts with a Somali terror group, Al Shabaab. Tracy denied helping Shabaab, but failed that part of a lie-detector test. ``I helped a lot of Somalis and most are good, but there are some who are bad and I leave them to ALLAH,' Tracy wrote in a Jan. 15 e-mail, according to court records in his case. The two Cubans, identified only as Consuelo and Elena, were fired by their supervisors for providing the Somalis with visas so they could slip into the United States via Dubai, Moscow, Havana, South America and Mexico, the records showed.

Nearly 80 Somali nationals who are seeking asylum in the United States after entering the country through Mexico have been transferred to a detention center in Tacoma - the latest group of a growing number of East African immigrants who are seeking entrance to the country through routes usually used by Latino immigrants.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials are preparing to roll out a series of changes at several privately owned immigration detention centers, including relaxing some security measures for low-risk detainees and offering art classes, bingo and continental breakfast on the weekends.

The changes were welcomed by immigrant advocates who have been waiting for the Obama administration to deliver on a promise made in August to overhaul the nation's immigration detention system.

The 28 changes identified in the e-mail range from the superficial to the substantive. In addition to “softening the look of the facility” with hanging plants and offering fresh carrot sticks, ICE will allow for the “free movement” of low-risk detainees, expand visiting hours and provide unmonitored phone lines.

ICE officials said the changes are part of broader efforts to make the immigration detention system less penal and more humane. But the plans are prompting protests by ICE's union leaders, who say they will jeopardize the safety of agents, guards and detainees and increase the bottom line for taxpayers.

Tre Rebstock, president for Local 3332, the ICE union in Houston, likened the changes to creating “an all-inclusive resort” for immigration detainees. Other major changes include:

• Eliminating lockdowns and lights-out for low-risk detainees.

• Allowing visitors to stay as long as they like in a 12-hour period.

• Allowing low-risk detainees to wear their own clothing or other non-penal attire.

• Providing e-mail access and Internet-based free phone service.

Not about punishment "It's not about punishing people for a crime they committed.” Rosenberg said some of the changes, like new flower baskets, may seem small, but they will combine with the bigger changes to make a difference in the daily lives of detainees. “Taken together they will go some way to making this system less penal,” she said. Accuracy in Academia investigated "ethnic studies" and uncovered damaging material in the high schools of Tuscon, Arizona. Paulo Freire (a Brazilian Marxist)'s book called Pedagogy of the Oppressed is required reading in Arizona's "Raza Studies" (ie, Race Studies), otherwise known as "Mexican-American courses."

"Occupied America," according to the invaders, includes a map of Mexico in 1821 which includes the American Southwest. A choice quote from "Occupied America." It gives us an idea of material Hispanic students are being exposed to in Arizona public schools: "We are fed up. We are going to do away with the injustice to the Chicano and if the 'gringo' doesn't get out of our way, we will stampede over him."

REFERENCE Over and above the millions who violate our borders, 1.5 million legal foreign workers come to the US each year, as a matter of course.

But this number isn’t high enough for Illinois Dem Cong Gutierrez (a former cab driver currently under federal investigation) and his 92 co-sponsors. Their Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill includes a provision called “recapture” that will add up all the supposedly “unused” work visas since 1992 and issue them immediately.

This is a complete fraud, as all unused work visas are rolled over to the family reunification category the next year as it is.

Gutierrez' Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill will create 100,000 visas from countries that send the most illegal immigrants every year. According to the State Department, this will mean 550,000 new foreign workers.

AND GET THIS Mexico is the staging area for Third World and other illegals preparing to violate our borders. The Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill rewards Mexico b/c they calculatedly promote illegal immigration. Gutierrez' bill will make it much easier for more illegal aliens to break in.

Under the Gutierrez Bill, to prove they have jobs and were in the country BEFORE Congress passed amnesty, illegals are allowed to use stolen ID's, fake green cards, and fraudulent SS numbers....... without fear of prosecution.

Contrary to Obama’s claim that CIR bill will increase border security, it does just the opposite.........

Come on, Tom - you know those aren't the real reasons. We have a tacit agreement in place to accept any and all of Mexico's poor and malcontents to reduce the risk of a Communist revolution there. The government feels that any collateral damage illegals cause will be tiny compared to having an active Communist nation as a neighbor.
