It has been a very long time since I have posted a thread but this is very important to me so thought I would try again.
Last summer, one of my cousins died from cancer. Then on May 29, her sister died from cancer. Now, the remaining sister has been told that she has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The outlook is not good at this time. I just got an update on Barbara and her heart is only working at a 48% capacity. She is on oxygen. Her wbc is over 180,000 and the doctors are trying to get it down to 20,000 for chemo.
This cousin was one that I grew up with. It was bad enough losing the other 2 cousins but this has hit particularly hard. My aunt is living. How does she handle the prospect of losing a 3rd daughter in less than a year? I lost one so I can not imagine what she has been through. This aunt is my mom's sister and her husband was my dad's nephew.
When I talked to my sister the other night she said Barbara's life is in God's hands. We all know how strong He is and He can change her life. Please pray for this family.
Thanks.
She is in the hospital in Tupelo, MS and the doctors are following advice from doctors at a Mayo Clinic.

What makes this so important that this type of cancer is hereditary so that makes it so important that my daughter gets tests done along with my grandson and granddaughter. You see, her dad-my hubby- died from cancer, too.
Thank you all for praying. I am really shook up over this but I know the power of God's healing grace.
They are only allowing certain people in to see her and are not allowing any flowers, cards, and food in her area. Since I am getting over pneumonia, bronchitis and a severe sinus infection, I could not get in even if I went down.
I will try to update the thread when I have more info. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear this. It’s one of the saddest things about growing old, especially when you become the “last leaf”.
OTOH, it won’t be that long before we see them again.
