First post ever. I would like to suggest that those who get so annoyed at repeat breaking news posts try to chill a bit and remember that there are four time zones in the U.S.. Also people in other countries check in for news.
I am in Alaska and by 6:00 am my time it is already 10:00 on the East coast; so what some Freeper addicts may have seen before is new news to us in Alaska.
So be kind and don't get so annoyed; there are way more important things to get wound up about.
Do you work for the Department of Redundancy Department?
Simple solution is to take and click on articles. That will bring you a list of all articles posted. Then follow it back to the when you last logged off and you’ll see every thread that has been posted. Usually it will take about thr four pages if you are viewing at 50 per page. Right now five pages gets me back to 10pm last night. Make sure you are using all forums and not just one so you get all threads.
How do you bump a thread? We are not all “experts” on everything. I miss a lot of stuff that I would like because I can’t monitor 24-7.
My search tools are my eyes and my mind. In conjunction, they are effective at keeping me from reading the same post twice. When one or the other fails, I take a shot of single-malt and proceed with life.
Thus duplicate [or worse repeatitive,] posts of the same article don't throw my life off kilter.
I reccommend that those with a duplicate post phobia try my method. Oban seems to work best.

Not according to your posting history. Did you mean to say 1st vanity ever? You sure don't post often.

I understand the time zone thingy but if you have the Breaking News Sidebar to can quickly see what's been posted there while you were sleeping. I check that first thing in the AM.
As far as duplicate topics the mods are vary generious about not locking them. It used to be a lot stricter. It's not fair to those who have had a great exchange on one thread and have someone else start a new one just so they can say I started this thread. If it's a hot topic you see it in the latest replies.
I'll chill but so should you.
LOL
This sounds familiar.
Did you plagiarize this? /S
LOL. Not going to go there. Wouldn’t be prudent.
Good grief, aren’t you pleasant. i think your response and your reaction pretty much explains your outlook. thanks, you are a peach : )
I would have responded to your “already posted” post but someone beat me to it.
I have repeatedly, reiterated and repeated that. In fact, I can’t count the number of times I have reapeted “to be clear” but, I do it repeatedly.
Please don’t repeat this.
After a while it gets repeatitive. /s
You’re Hot!
I didn’t even bat an eye before I saw how you rock. /s
I agree. I never mind when there is a repeat article posted. Hey, I’m working all the time, I miss stuff on FR when it’s hot off the press!
Cheers!
Alaska Rocks!
You just did it. You post something to it.

Great first post!
And don't forget: that when it is 10 PM in Alaska most of America is asleep, so you can be the first to post to the world (and FR) so they can see it in the AM!
