And the creep himself will soon be dead, I’m guessin’... the girl was the daughter of a well connected business man? Either the screws get tightened on the legal system to find a guilty verdict, or a hit will be made. Either way Sloot is a dead man. I’m pissed at Aruba, though for not putting this guy under oath and prosecuting him. Question is, how many other girls do we not know about. Aruba, you vile slug...

“The girl intruded into my private life.”

Dang, the same thing happened to me. But my girl became part of my private life, and I love her for it.

families he should be executed in a painful way. Unfortunately no death penalty in Peru

I rather hope they DON'T have the death penalty in this case. Because I hear the Peruvian prisons are far from pleasant. I'd like to think of him spending endless hours of endless days of decades there...and hopefully, never again see the light of freedom.

I read that in Peru the sentence for murder is 35 years. I don’t think anyone could last in Peru’s prisons for 35 years.

Poor girl... probably goes to check her e-mail or Facebook page while he’s out getting a cup of coffee, stumbles on his diary, and sets the monster off. There’s a lesson in here about computer security, too.

"Wonder if there was persuasion involved?"

I'm thinking Peru has thicker phonebooks than Aruba ;-)

Especially some sweet privileged nancy-boy girl-killer from The Netherlands. He won't last a month.

If there is no death penalty via the legal system, then he’ll get hit in prison, and he’ll probably wish he had been hung instead.

At 6'3" he's big enough to survive. The problem is he only beats women and he killed the wrong persons daughter in the wrong country.

Doesn't that just break your heart? *BG*

That is certainly a strong possibility.

Just heard in a news report that there is no death penalty in Peru for Van der Sloot’s crime. The death penalty in Peru is only for crimes ‘committed in exceptional circumstances’ and that would mean crimes that are committed in times of war or genocide or crimes under military law. He’ll serve 35 years max according to the news report. Shame.

Didn’t know about the dad passing. All well and good.I knew the ‘Get Out Of Jail Free Card’ would not work in Peru and I am very happy about that.

I do hope Natalee Holloway’s family finally gets some answers. I hope that Aruba rethinks and extradites.

Peru is way out of Dad’s reach. Dad has gone to meet his Maker.

Satan was his maker?

Good point. Correction: “Dad has gone to give account to his Maker, and is presumably found wanting. . . “

Phil Keating on FoxNews just reported that the max sentence would be 35 years, but inmates typically serve only about 6-8 years.

The ‘confession’ could also have been the result of negotiating for a lighter sentence.

It will be interesting to see what is on his computer that was literally worth killing for. That data could be incriminating in other jurisdictions.

Naw. Satan was only his boss. His Maker will tell him that Satan is now his boss for eternity.

Yep - Gives a whole new meaning to, “They threw the book at him,” or, “Librus maximus up-side-of-the-head(us).”

Dad has gone to meet his Maker.

This judge is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet its maker! This is a late judge. It’s a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. It’s rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This is an ex-judge!

Lets hope so. The good thing about the death penalty is the grieving family gets closure. The murderer is finally gone and off the earthly plane. His very existence mocks you until he gets executed
