Gov. Charlie Crist personally signed off on his former Republican Party chairman's confidential fundraising role with the state party, according to Jim Greer's attorney, whose allegation contradicts the governor's statement that he "didn't know anything" about the deal now part of a criminal investigation.
State investigators say Greer and the party's former executive director, Delmar W. Johnson III, secretly set up a shell company called Victory Strategies to divert party money and enrich themselves. Greer was charged Wednesday with fraud and money laundering.

Crist has already demonstrated his desire to hurt the GOP in any way he can, and now he might not have much to lose. A wounded crook, who wants to take down others with him, and who does know how to use political smears, has to be considered dangerous. Let’s hope Charlie’s tricks don’t work. Florida continues to be a key state in politics in so many ways, and Charlie is right in the middle of the story.

Charlie proved what many of us have said about him “he’ll say or do anything to get elected” now that he’s proved this to one and all there is no doubt scandals previously held “in the closet” to protect Charlie will be let loose.
Expect in the next few months a barrage of claims, all laid at Crist’s feet to be “outed”.

The context of “discovery” in the defense of Greer becomes rather compelling. To make such a claim, even pre-trial, the defense attorney must have something to support what he says. The political impact on Crist is rather large, when lumped together with his obama hugs, lite loafers innuendoes, and his not returning Republican election monies having left the party. Character does matter and even the dumbest dumbass can see this guy is a fraud of the first order. And, not too bright either.
