Yep, and the BP CEO is being fitted for his Ken Lay suit as I type. You just know there’ll have to be a perp walk at some point.

BP is one of the largest multinationals that exist. Obama lacks the power to kill them. He will be gone in a mere 24 months.

Will the Washington Press have the courage to defrock Helen?

Wait, I take that back. Horrible thought.

I’ve wondered why we haven’t heard more from Barbour on this—other than the media don’t want to give him a platform.

A fine warrior is Gov. Christie. Love the videos of his little speeches.

May have spelled his name wrong but love him anyway.

Exactly my point. Once Boehner starting speaking up, he mysteriously disappeared from the talk shows.

Barbour is an excellent spokesperson, which is why we also didn’t see him after Katrina. He didn’t whine and blame Bush.

I don’t mind that people are disgusted with the shows, but they need to not blame GOP people for not being on. They weren’t invited.

The Press as a tight little group has no courage. They are afraid to turn on one another ... maybe they all know too much about each other.

The Sierra Club (and probably other wackos — not that the SC is totally wacky — they are probably the sanest of the insane)

Anyway they sent out a fund raising e-mail/letter citing the fact that Rush Limbaugh blames environmentalists for the deep oil spill.

They got money. Just mentioning Rush opens wallets with that group. My niece contributed.

Now Sarah Palin has said the same thing. If Rush is worth 5 bucks, how much will Sarah be worth?

Wonder who they hate the most?

There are people on Free Republic who would bash Jesus Christ. In fact, some of them do.

You answered your own question. Haley Barbour is the best spokesman the Republicans have ever had. As Gingrich’s Press secretary, he was a full partner in Newt’s success in 1994. Then he was terrific as head of the RNC.

It looks like he’s doing good work now getting more GOP guvs in in 2010. I now he’s flirting with a presidential run, but I’d rather see him replace Michael Steele in January.

Exactly, he may have power over them here but not worldwide. And his reputation as a “leader” worldwide is tanking along with his popularity numbers here.

Once Boehner starting speaking up, he mysteriously disappeared from the talk shows.

****

When Bush was president, we saw Pelosi, Schumer, et al on ‘newscasts’ practically simultaneously with any statement that came out of the White House

“in the interest of fairness”.

Now the “fairness” is in showing yet one more quote from the TOTUS. No rebuttal needed.

Libs did not want to hear anything Bush had to say, so they wanted to know what Nancy, Harry and Chuck would respond. Now they have no interest in anything that any Republican has to say (unless it bashes another Republican.)

drillers are ... going to deep water.... but because there is oil there, huge amounts of oil.

If we don't get it, someone else will. Incidents like this are extremely rare. This much oil is spilled annually in Africa (Nairobi ?) by less competent companies.

The coastal damage / clean up is the bigger issue and Obie has failed miserably. Oil spilled while Obie chilled.

Again, you are absolutely correct. The press does not want to listen to the Republicans, especially the conservative ones.

I saw a picture last winter of Mike Pence holding a press conference and there were only one or two reporters attending!

Think what it must be like for Pence, Boehner, et. al. as they try to combat this insanity! I try to call them frequently and express my appreciation. We are doing all we can to send reinforcements on November 2.

And at $4.00 a gallon they will still be screaming the lie about "big Oil gouging them" instead of pausing, and saying,

Hmm since the 1970s Every time the gas price goes up the guys I vote for every 2 years blame "Big Oil". Maybe the problem isn't "Big Oil" maybe the problem is the guys I vote for.
