GOP voters like Fiorina's chances to beat Boxer in November

Andrew Riley, a 59-year-old carpenter from Roseville, plans to vote for former businesswoman Carly Fiorina in the GOP Senate primary on Tuesday.

He says she's got a better chance than former Republican Rep. Tom Campbell of defeating Democrat Barbara Boxer this fall.

"We need some people in there who are business-savvy," said Riley. "I'm thinking she's going to be picking up more momentum."

In the closing days of the heated GOP Senate campaign, both candidates are making appeals that they're best suited to knock off Boxer, a three-term incumbent.

But as rank-and-file Republican voters ready for the election, they appear to be siding more with Fiorina.

It's too bad that there isn't a Conservative running for the Senate in California.
Oh wait!
There is!
But it isn't Boxer, Campbell or Fiorina.

lol. If this guy thinks corporate CEOs are "business-savvy", then he must not know much about corporate CEOs. Corporations--the big ones-- are almost as bad as government. And their leaders are almost as useless as politicians.

Meanwhile conservatives ask, with the GOP ever put up a candidate that will fix the problem.

On the Field Poll, I find them to be the least credible of the lot. Local radion guy gave quite a run-down on their bent in their polls.

The question must stop being who has a better chance. It needs to be who is going to advance the cause. This is not a one election game. The GOP has been out of the game so long the other side just keeps racking up points. One election is not going to fix it.

Carly Fiorina has been endorsed by the National Right to Life, the California Pro-Life Council, and the Susan B. Anthony List.

She is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-military, and pro-strict border security and against amnesty.

She is against Obamacare and will vote to repeal it and prevent the government takeover of private companies and industries.

Carly is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Like me, she is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners.

She is pro-energy development and believes as I do in an all-of-the-above approach to energy independence.

She is against cap and tax. And most importantly, Carly is the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer. That’s no RINO. That’s a winner.

And you advance the cause by taking the best chance available at any given moment. You can’t get there in one election. But you’ll never get there if one demands perfection in every election.

And... politicians don’t advance the cause. Politically active voters that hold politicians accountable do.

There are some things I don´t like about her, but realistically speaking, any Republican would be better than Boxer. At least that person would give us numerical leverage, and I think that Fiorina´s actual positions in general would tend to the conservative (I don´t think she´s as liberal as McCain, for example).

I don´t live in CA now, but I did live there for a number of years, and I think she´s probably the best bet. DeVore may be “purer,” but I´m not sure he´s selling on a wider scale.

double dittos! We need to be more and more vocal about what we expect our elected officials to do for us.

That's my point. So why are Whitman and Firoriniaias (can't pronounce her name) in the lead?

“Katie really likes you,” she said to me one day. “she”s a working mom and admires you as a working mom. She has teenage daughter like you. She just relates to you,” Nicolle said. “believe me, I know her very well. I’ve worked with her.” Nicolle had left her gig at CBS just a few months earlier to hook up with the McCain campaign. I had to trust her experience, as she had dealt with national politics more than I had.

When you wrote about CEOs I made a reference to the old Prisoner television series (who is number 1?). In other words who’s in charge if the CEOs are such bumblers?

Most of the California conservatives who voted for voted for Ronald Reagan and George Deukmajein have either moved away or died. This is a very different electorate than the state had 20 years ago.
