Asking the right questions about eligibility
World Net Daily ^ | June 4, 2010 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 06/04/2010 12:08:59 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

When the New York Times finally conducted its first poll on eligibility questions haunting Barack Obama, it asked them in ways specifically designed to make it appear the general public thought the whole matter was settled – as its own newsroom culture does.

"Do you think President Obama was born in the U.S. or another country?" the CBS/New York Times poll asked sophomorically in April.

Still, even with such a skewed question, the Big Media must have been shocked at the results: Only 58 percent of Americans think he was born in the United States.

It was clear to me then that Barack Obama is losing ground with the American people each and every time he obfuscates on this issue, stonewalls on the releases of personal documentation, ridicules those who question him and counts on the media to ostracize all skeptics, otherwise caricatured as "birthers."

So I set out to do another poll phrasing questions the way adult journalists would – journalists who are not predisposed to believe anything and everything the president says.

The results of that scientific survey were released Tuesday.(continued)

I get it. He was an anchor baby.

He was a red diaper baby.

Read David Horowitz's book Radical Son to see why that is a very, very bad thing.

My secretary of state said that the American voters are responsible to do the “security check” for politicians. I asked him how we could do that, since none of us have authority to see the only records that would allow us to do even a basic check of eligibility.

He said the media does it for us and they would never let a politician get away with lying.

We REALLY need people to know that nobody is doing any kind of security check on anybody. Linda Bentley’s article yesterday explaining that though the law doesn’t exempt congress-critters from having to show valid documentation that other government employees have to show in order to be employed... IN PRACTICE they are. Nobody checks anything on congress-critters. We have NO NATIONAL SECURITY CHECKS ON OUR CONGRESS CRITTERS.

The public absolutely needs to have their myths exposed on who is actually enforcing the laws in this country. Right now, when it comes to Congress at least, it’s NOBODY. The people who can, won’t. And the people who will, can’t.

He needs to release his records. He is President. The only legitimate reason not to is identity theft, and who will steal Obama's identity?????

He needs to be open, transparent, and truthful.

The terrifying point about their not having background checks, is that they get classified data. They don't have to pass the security checks that everyone else does.

Our nations enemies can bypass all security by just getting someone elected. This is disturbing.

I would much rather have an informed voter with an IQ of 80 than an uninformed high IQ voter who thinks they already know everything and know what is best for us.

It is this kind of logic and bold statements that got Socrates killed.

Actually there are people who have been pushing along this line. Leo Donoforio (from NJ) is one. Here is his website: http://naturalborncitizen.wordpress.com/

Since the Courts have refused to hear this case and that there is no direct ruling by the Courts as to the meaning of the term “natural born citizen” we are left in a position of having this issue be considered “open to debate”.

Though I absolutely believe that Obama (Barry Soetoro) is not a ‘natural born citizen’ and is possibly not even a citizen at all (after his adoption) and that his real legal name may not even be Barack Hussein Obama but instead Barry Soetoro, I would like to see the Court rule on all of this even if the ruling turns into one of these ridiculous Court rulings like we have seen so many times in the past. The greatest travesty here to me is that the Court has denied the rights of the American people to their Constitutional right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Exactly Highlander. The sooner more understand this truth the sooner Obama can be moved from the office for which he is not Constitutionally eligible.

I don't have a link, but I recall reading a commentary by one of the founding fathers as I recall, that did address what they meant by "natural born citizen"...or at least that's what I recall.

would it matter to those in authority if it was proven

Considering he seems to only show up to sign bills and give speeches, they probably figure he is just a puppet, anyway.

Personally, I resent that a man who could not pass a basic security clearance, now has access to our most vital national secrets and can easily pass it to our enemies.

Yes. Absolutely the evidence is plain that Obama is not a natural born citizen. Though the truth about the Constitution has never stopped activist justices from ruling anyway that they want in the past.

Whatever. I stand by my opinion.

Though evidently genetics passed me by, my family is full of high IQ and highly educated men and women: teachers, professors, Dr.s, research Dr.s, etc., etc.

They know all they need to know to run your life better than you can, don't let facts get in the way of their progressive socioeconomic theories and are all liberal democrats. They loved Carter and Clinton and adore obama, while Reagan was the most evil creature to ever occupy the WH.

It is their kind of high IQ logic that is killing our Republic. I'll take common sense and life experience. My dad, a man of reasonable intelligence, never went to college, yet is by far the wisest and most successful of any of us.

That is certainly true. The US government is no longer valid in my opinion...and it seems only a matter of time before the whole thing collapses, either when the government crashes the economy, or when the people wake up to the fact that the government isn't legitimate. Most likely the first will transpire...people are slow to wake up to the other point...not many actually read the constitution.

-- If Obama's father was a British citizen, then doesn't that alone invalidate Obama on the natural born citizen bit and where he was born becomes immaterial? And if so, why isn't that the direction people who are questioning Obama push along? --

A significant number have pushed on that angle, and in my opinion, that angle should be pushed to a definitive resolution. However, Congress didn't even give the fact of dual citizenship at birth a moment of thought - completely blew it off, and in fact, appears to have deliberately drawn attention to "location of birth" by rendering a resolution as to McCain. While the McCain resolution made a point of noting the citizenship of both parents, for obvious reasons, a similar resolution could not cover Obama.

I expect the federal politicians and courts to fight at least as hard as Obama, to prevent a definitive resolution - EVER. To do so now would amount to an admission of abdication of duty.

Yes, and this nation’s enemies are both smart enough and earnest enough to do exactly that. If nothing else, Nidal Hasan should have taught us that.

The Bible says that fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and research bears out that the smartest people of all are the ones who know just how little they know.

Humility and wisdom go hand in hand.

The intellectual elites of today have neither.

“I would much rather have an ‘average’ American high school graduate with life experience in elected office than one more ivy leaguer who’s been indoctrinated into the progressive ideology.”

You got it wrong... The American high school graduate is in the top half.

I’ve read Radical Son (and also recommend it to others). It really exposes the level of communist entrenchment in our country going back a long way.

If BHO, Sr. is indeed his father, as claimed, he ain’t eligible.
____________

Why is this so hard for people to understand? This guy is not a “natural born citizen” if his father is Kenyan! But is that his real father is the question.

It's pretty clear this is the reason few in government or the power elites will take up the eligibility issue. They know they are complicit and they fear the consequences. If the thing starts to blows up while Obama is in office, I think we can expect him to suddenly resign or otherwise be removed so the ruling class can declare the issue moot. They absolutely don't want any investigation about who knew what and when did they know it.
