Islam indoctrination in U.S. textbooks
Renew America ^ | June 3, 2010 | Jen Shroder

Posted on 06/03/2010 8:00:45 PM PDT by Coleus

Today's textbooks indoctrinate our children into Islam and are backed by court rulings allowing teachers to REQUIRE our children to bow down and pray to Allah "in demonstration." As Obama's non-jihadists plot to "internally cleanse" America shouting "Allah-Akbar," many of our children have simultaneously taken the position on their hands and knees and recited, "In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of Creation, The Compassionate, the Merciful, King of Judgment day! You alone we worship, and to You alone we pray for help, Guide us to the straight path."

Public outrage has caused some school districts to take pause in "simulating Islam," but not before Judge Phyllis Hamilton ruled in favor of the practice. Court transcripts quote: "the use of the Islam module was motivated by the purely secular purpose of instructing students about Islamic culture and history" and that a "non-secular purpose may only be found 'when...there was no question that the...activity was motivated WHOLLY be religious considerations." [omissions in transcript]

It is shocking that Hamilton could compose the following condemning the Ten Commandments while endorsing banners in front of a school that state, " "There is one God, Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet." This is her ruling, upheld by the Ninth Circuit:

"Similarly, plaintiffs claimed in oral argument that the display of the group banners showing portions of the Bismillah was analogous to the display of the Ten Commandments in school classrooms, which has been found unconstitutional. However, the display of the Ten Commandments in a classroom setting was found unconstitutional because the Supreme Court determined that upon objective review, the primary purpose for their display was to endorse Christianity. Here, in contrast, the primary purpose of the Islam module was the secular goal of educating students about Islamic culture. Thus, even the display of religious texts in a purely secular context will survive Constitutional review as well." (pdf link below)

Clinton's Presidential Guideline, "Religious Expression in Public School," states: "Students generally do not have a Federal right to be excused from lessons that may be inconsistent with their religious beliefs or practices." Originally drafted with Abdurahman Alamoudi (currently in prison for terrorist acts) and in the hands of the ACLU and Judge Hamilton (appointed by Clinton), there went religious freedom.

Thus, public school teachers can REQUIRE your child to take a Muslim name, fast for Ramadan, repeat by heart for weeks that Allah is the only god, that he alone they worship and display banners with the same sentiments. One teacher required her students to recite the prayer every time they exited the classroom for two weeks. What does it take to become a Muslim? Reciting that prayer. Oh but wait, they have to believe it...never mind then. That makes it okay that the last words that some of our troops heard before beheading are the same words our children pray on their hands and knees in public school.

ISLAM INDUCTION IN OUR TEXTBOOKS

Houghton Mifflin's "Across the Centuries" underwent multiple revisions led by Nader F. Darehshori, CEO, previously a school teacher in Iran. In the Islam section among other practices, our children are asked to assume they are Muslim soldiers. In the Jewish section, the ONLY imagination practice is to imagine they are with the Jews when they were conquered and forced to live away from their homeland. In the Christian section, the ONLY imagination practice was to imagine being in the buried catacombs of the dead Christians. (Christians/body of Christ back in the tomb, how symbolic).

For a while, Houghton Mifflin posted denials that the Council of Islamic Education contributed to the textbook. But then articles quoting Abigail Jungreis, Editorial Director of HM were found on Muslim sites applauding their input, especially information about the Crusades...so for the Christian section our children are given the Crusades from the Muslim perspective. Meanwhile the Islam section states:

  1. "In fact, the very first word the angel Gabriel spoke to Muhammad was recite." (in fact?)
  2. "These revelations confirmed both Muhammad's belief in one God, and his role as the last messenger in a long line of prophets sent by God."
  3. "Muhammad's revelations occurred from 610 until his death..."
  4. "The Quran is the final revelation, just as Muhammad is the final prophet."
  5. "Ramadan is a holy time, because in this month Muhammad received his first message from Allah."
  6. "Arabic lettering had a special significance for Muslims, because it was used to write down God's words as they had been given to Muhammad."
  7. "The courtyard and Mosque allowed Muslims to feel Allah's invisible presence whether they were inside or outside the Mosque."
  8. "This caliph, Muslims realized, could not give the same kind of spiritual leadership as Muhammad had. The new caliph would not be the prophet of Allah, as Muhammad had been."
HM denied implying acceptance of Muhammad's mission as the prophet when a section was headed with "THE LIFE OF THE PROPHET" and listed him as prophet 42 times!   To the average Christian, facts about Jesus in the Christian section seem merely watered down. But if you study Islam you would realize that what is written about Jesus is what Islam believes about Jesus.

These are some of the reasons that Texas has taken a stand about curriculum. Texas is the 2nd largest block in the market and textbook publishers listen. But California is number one and is currently passing laws blocking Texas changes. I urge everyone to contact your state legislators and ask them to do to California what California has done to Texas. Let the textbook publishers know your state condemns the insanity that California has imposed. Do not let California remain on the throne of public education. I live in California. For the love of God, protect your children.

I suggest this book for all Americans, I am half-way through it and the research is exhaustive. ...

Thanks, I’ll check it out.

This idiocy is CAUSED by the unconstitutional heresy of separation of church and state. At the end of the day, we're either a Christian nation (not established by the state, but through free exercise of religion like America was until the 20th century), or we’re duped by every snake-oil salesman, huckster, and jihadist to come down the pike.

All true. It's all happening right before our very eyes. What we really need now is a separation of school and state.

Glad we homeschool, too, whenever I read these articles. This Islam pamphlet/workbook is pure indoctrination. There’s no question about it.

What we really need is a spiritual Third Great Awakening,

What do I think is going to happen? Another fully-dimensional spiritual revival seems farfetched, but God sometimes does farfetched things. I'm convinced, however, that when America goes, the world will go every quickly. I don’t think the question is if, but when. Either God will extend his mercy for yet awhile (maybe a few more decades) allowing more to come into salvation, or today's Day of the Liberals will now quickly bring on the Day of the Lord. Then the prophecy will be fulfilled, "The vile person shall be no more called liberal." (Jer 32:5).

From God’s promises to me personally, I think there’s going to be a delay. This is an opportunity for more to come to know Him. It’s also an opportunity for God to change our hearts from leaning so hard on the goodness and blessings of a free America, to fixing our gaze and our hearts on His Kingdom which is not only literally coming with Christ’s return, but also spiritually in our midst now. We need God to open our eyes to His kingdom and fall in love with Him and His Kingdom more than America. This may take some doing for me. But sometimes, God has to remove the good (at least in our hearts, if not in circumstance) in order for us to receive and enjoy the best. And our heart's cry: "Even so, Come, Lord Jesus."

In the early 90's our pastor preached that the church should stay out of the affairs of state. I sent him this book and not too long after, change came and, later, this man and our church became the vanguard and leader of other churches in the area of political activism, greatly influencing the overthrow of a previously popular pro-gay bill.

We’re now in another state and an important pastor here is saying the same thing, extolling the virtues of separation of church and state. I’m planning on sending him this book and hope it works in his life like it apparently with our previous pastor.

What we really need is a spiritual Third Great Awakening,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Perhaps we should start with our **own** children.

A Christian’s **most** important and urgent mission field is that of his own children. His second most important mission field is that of the children of his own congregation.

We must get our children out of godless government schools that teach child to think godlessly. We must get them into conservative Christian schools, and offer that opportunity to as many other children as possible.

We must work for the complete shut down of government schooling.

What we really need is a spiritual Third Great Awakening,

Actually, something even better is in progress: a Reformation, a movement to apply God's Word more consistently to everyday life. Here in the USA, there are literally millions of families participating in this reformation, quietly and under the radar. As our godfather RJR wrote, history is never shaped by majorities, but by minorities that stand fast in terms of their faith.

It's going on now. Come on in, the water's fine!

Home school families have a unique opportunity to "take the battle to the enemy." Adopt college students from Muslim nations. Welcome them into your home. Let them see that Hollywood lies -- there really ARE Americans who take faith and family seriously. Study their languages and cultures.

Your family -- happy, friendly, thoughtful, sharp -- will be more than half of your witness.

Help these kids with their English -- they are the best and the brightest in their native lands, but English is a VERY weird language. Show an interest in their language, and you'll have a superhighway into their hearts.

As long as Jesus is being glorified by the Holy Spirit in truth by His grace and love, then hopefully it's something that's helping people to get closer to Him and allow Christ to be formed in them.

That's good for consecration that Jesus may have his way in us, but a spiritual awakening, a revival where the unsaved suddenly know they're not saved, drop to their knees and repent - this comes form the sovereign will of the Lord and the church in intercession. Without this type of radical revival that can only come from the Spirit of God, I think America's days are numbered.

This also may be God's will. He's definitely preparing His Bride for His coming.

Been there, done that, got the tishöt. (Turkish spelling for our word tee-shirt, pronounced same way!) My born-again walk with God began in the maelstrom of a genuine supernatural move of God, so I know such things can and do happen.

HOWEVER (and this is a MAJOR caveat!) as a man I usually hold in low esteem pointed out, churches that experience supernatural revival are usually WORSE OFF a few years later. Kinda like folks who win big in the lottery: five years later, they're normally bankrupt. Probably divorced. Frequently dead by their own hand.

The first American great awakening was a major leap forward for Unitarianism. The second engendered Mormonism and the War Between the States.

Yes, because God hears prayer and honors faith, we can "pray down" revival. The results are comparable to watermelons hanging from grape vines: large, juicy fruit, without the infrastructure to support it. Reformations are scholarly, thoughtful, movements. Reformations engage the mind and the life, not just the emotional/experiential dimension of life. A reformation is going on now. Even as Luther disengaged Christianity from its bondage to Italian power politics, today's reformers are disavowing and disdaining the American state church. They are, in their quiet way, building a new social order under the nose of the status quo.

Come on in, the water's fine, and the future is as bright as the promises of God!

You don't know me from Adam but presumptuously assume I'm not in this water you speak of.

The only (spiritual) water I'm interested is the River of Life and I'm already in there. Not sure what water you're talking about, but your lack of candor about what you're talking about is suspect.

Some of the elements of the "water" I'm inviting you in to include: Millions of families are raising the next generation at home, in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. These children are learning to think more clearly, and live more holy, than their parents. God's hand of blessing is upon this movement, and the best is yet to come! (see my tagline)

The Christian education sounds good. The best is the home-schooling. Many have jumped into that water (that for no apparent reason you seem to continue assume others like myself are not part of).

I don't know about your Reformed theology or Post-millennialism.

Many are in this River of the Water of Life that flows from His throne. Not being part of your "group" doesn't exclude God's people around the world from being part of His plans and blessing in these last days. We need only to cleave to the Lord and "hold fast to the Word of His patience."

BTW, the First and Second Great Awakening were times of nation-wide repentance and revival, changing the course of our country. This was no flaky fly-by-night stuff.

If America is going to continue, a Third Great Awakening bringing solid, sound repentance from the Mercy Seat of God’s Throne will be needed. Otherwise, America likely will fall by the wayside and the world will go quickly. In that case, we’re preparing for His imminent coming which may happen as we, along with the Spirit, cry, "Come, Lord Jesus."

OK, you've been fairly evasive but I get it now. You're a Rushdoony guy, a "theonomist or reconstructionist". Gottcha.

Well, I see that as good and bad. Getting back to God’s Word is always a good thing. You guys bring up some important issues like restitution. Coming up with an authoritarian-type interpretation of God’s Word from one man or group – not so good. I wish you well.

(FYI, I’m a Christian Constitutional conservative and an economic libertarian that believes in very limited government. The need in this country is changed hearts by God’s spirit, not resurrecting Old Testament laws that the New Testament declares are decayed and ready to vanish (Heb 8:13).)
