You Decide:
Should the American Flag be Banned -- in America?
(Choices below)
No. This is a lame decision. Teach the kids what the flag means, instead of banning it.
Yes. The safety of students comes first.
Not sure, but of all things to ban, the American flag would seem the least 'incendiary.'

I can hardly believe that 50% chose
Yes. The safety of students comes first.
This is insane!
Feel free to vote and CHANGE that.
Hmmm ... I wonder ... is the Mexican flag banned in their schools or is the Israel flag banned in Israel's schools because some may not like it?

You can still vote though and add comments.
I find it hard to believe a question like this is evne asked and horrified at the results.
I share your outrage.
But there’s really no story associated with this poll - or are they just asking because of the dustup between the iillegals and the kids at the school in CA last month?
NOTHING is enough to ban our flag. Our military give their lives for the freedom it represents, and to have anyone propose that it be hidden is just atrocious.
I simply do not believe this poll. Total insanity.
seems like the safety of students wasn’t the number one concern in alabama during the 60’s. they sent in the national guard to escort the students.
Tha fact that this question could even be asked, let alone that it would receive anything more than a 5% vote against the flag, shows how far we’ve fallen.
I sometimes wonder what’s next. Legalized bestiality, infanticide, defecation in the streets?
But then I fear that the real world news catches up with me.
I’m a young person but sometimes I feel very old.
I wanted to add a comment but was never given the option. I wanted to say, like you, that this question shouldn’t even be asked.
If an American flag is offensive to somebody in America to the point that they would get violent at merely seeing it, then that person is an enemy of this nation and needs to be treated as such. Period.
We have to stop coddling the enemies within our midst and call them what they are.
“Im a young person but sometimes I feel very old.”
I appreciate that too!
I feel like an alien in my own country.
I don't understand people. Here I thought it was just my age and being old and dated. You reassure my sanity.
I wish they would take the poll down. I can’t believe FOX put it up in the first place to be honest.
Just received a letter from my son yesterday, he is at OSUT at Fort Benning GA, he was one of 6 selected to do the flag ceremony every morning and evening.....he said it was one of the most awesome feelings....he loved the ceremony of it and felt so proud to be selected to be a part of it.
This is how incidious the USSC decision that burning the flag was Free-speech has become.
Notice they didn’t ask if banning the Mexican Flag was acceptable.
If this poll is a true reflection of our American citizens, we are only a short way from Obama’s finish line of victory.
SAD DAY!!!!!!!! SAD POLL!!!!!
This is a stupid poll. We should take a poll on whether to ban people who have a problem with the American flag in America.
I agree, on FoxNews 50% saying ban the flag? Hell, I might as well move to Costa Rica now, do you think Rush will have me over for dinner? But all joking aside, unless moveon.org is doing thier own kind of “freep” on that poll, it’s all over.
Never Again is ringing horrifically hollow! We’re facing the biggest threat to our nation and our freedom, from internal as well as foreign enemies, as we ever have. The Useful Idiots and Kool Aid drinkers among us are attempting to destroy this nation and our freedom from inside this government (at every level). Anyone thinking this is a joke better wake up, like yesterday.
Unf$%king believable....Does any one know what it’s like in Australia?
I’m probably going to be flamed for this, but I’m tough:
The title of this poll is misleading. The proper question is not whether the American flag should “be banned in America,” but rather whether there are times and places where the American flag should be shown proper respect and not used to stir up trouble.
There is NO move — none at all — to ban the American flag.
This does not appear to be a stand-alone poll, but one prompted by recent news events, possibly the incident in California last month when kids were told not to wear American flag t-shirts to school.
Schools — just like business, police, military, courtrooms, airlines, etc. — should have a dress code that eliminates distractions.
There’s a time and a place for everything. School kids should be studying, not wearing political symbols of ANY kind. Their minds should be on learning to be productive and well-educated citizens, capable of contributing to society as adults.
Vote early and often!
