The Coming Resignation of Barack Obama
http://spectator.org/archives/2010/06/02/the-coming-resignation-of-bara/print ^ | 02 june 10 | Peter Ferrara

Months ago, I predicted in this column that President Obama would so discredit himself in office that he wouldn't even be on the ballot in 2012, let alone have a prayer of being reelected. Like President Johnson in 1968, who had won a much bigger victory four years previously than Obama did in 2008, President Obama will be so politically defunct by 2012 that he won't even try to run for reelection.

I am now ready to predict that President Obama will not even make it that far. I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012. Like my previous prediction, that is based not just on where we are now, but where we are going under his misleadership.

Is the President Above the Law?

Watergate was supposed to have established that Presidents are not above the law. If that is so, President Obama may have to resign for breaking the law in the Sestak affair.

Michelle Malkin? This well thought out article was written by Peter Ferrara.

My apologies. I read the whole article, but I was multi-tasking over my morning coffee and must have looked at a Michelle article on an adjacent tab.

It is a good article, but I fear it is optimistic. It would take an overwhelming outcry to get Obama to step down. The country is far more polarized along party lines than it was when Johnson and Nixon were in Office. Yes, there was polarization then too, but I think it is far worse now.

Both Nixon and Johnson were able to think about the problems their continued activity in government would cause for the country. I don't think Obama worries about that. He wants radical transformation, and he truly believes he is the One chosen to implement it.

This guy is too arrogant to resign and he will give black candidates for president a bad name for many years to come. Hell, he’s not black like me, black mother and father

Try decades. Affirmative Action in federal politics is setting relations WAY WAY back.

Well we saw what a loony Al Gore became from losing an election. Can you imagine what Obama would turn in to when he is defrocked of votes? They will find him in the park drunk exposing himself to little kids. ;-)

At that point, with zero prospects for reelection, and unable to govern effectively, he will resign.

It will never happen.

People with messiah complexes don't resign. See Hitler, Adolf, 1945.

Like Hitler, Obama would let America burn before he resigned. He would consider it proper punishment for having failed to follow The One.

Not happening. The socialist is too disconnected from reality to notice if other people stop worshiping his glorious splendor. In his world - Michelle and his mirror - everyone dotes on his magnificence.

I only agree with the writer on his conclusion that 0bagger won’t run for reelection. The reasons sited in the article will not be the reasons for his quitting.

The psychological make up of this idiot will not allow him to think of quitting. This narcissist child believes that he is The Brilliant One after the media put it in his and the people’s heads. Most of the people already realized the fallacy of the media pumping agenda, but 0b0z0 who’s completely detached from reality will never ever acknowledge the sad reality, even to himself.

I posted many times that 0b0z0 will not run in ‘012 because he will face the humiliation of having to prove his eligibility to some SoSs around the country before he’s allowed on the ballot. He obviously won’t because he can’t!

There is also the possibility that Republicans will grow spines and stones to run a naturalized citizen for president. If this citizen is refused a place on the ballot according to the Constitution requirement of NBC, then he can sue as an injured party and therefore, he/she will have standing, at last!

If you agree with the article or me, 0kaka won’t be running in ‘12.

>>> "Plugs is still well-liked and fairly well-regarded by the Left and LSM. They even continue to think of him as a foreign policy expert! The point is that if the doodoo really hits the fan, and even the Left become a little scared for our country, they may actually be willing to entertain early release for BHO since they would then get a "stronger" Rat into the presidency. This may even be bolstered by them coming to the conclusion that Obambi will not be able to win, or even able to win a primary, in 2012." <<<

Thanks for the ping.

I hope that you can locate online video of Joe's speech at Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day, as seriously, I believe that YOU will see what I mean and agree with me.

I seriously wonder if the attempt to "presidentialize" Joe was the real reason that BHO & Family were told to take off to Chi-town for the Farrakhans' Memorial Day Weekend festivities???

I realize this sounds bizarre, but listen to his speech, watch him ---- there is almost nothing in his words that BHO could have read off a teleprompter and sounded at all sincere. Seriously..... I was astounded with the Presidential performance of our VP.

It did seem strange to take Biden out of mothballs for this event. I don't think they're ready to pull the Bamster off life support yet, but it could definitely be a contingency plan.

==Bill Clinton refused to resign even after being impeached, proving both that he had no integrity or regard for the fate of the country and that Democratic Presidents actually are above the law so long as Democrats control at least one house in Congress.==

We can also blame the Repubs re what went on with the Clinton impeachment:

Sellout: The Inside Story of President Clinton's Impeachment by David P. Schippers

From Amazon.com review:

“….David Schippers, the chief investigative counsel for the Clinton impeachment, wants to be sure Americans know just who contributed to the debacle and how. A trial attorney and a Democrat, Schippers was hired by Republican congressman Henry Hyde to lead an oversight investigation of the Justice Department, then was redirected to handle the impeachment…Schippers was shocked by Republican and Democratic politicians who sold out the impeachment process.

If you ever want to vote again, you might not want to know what went on behind the scenes in the Capitol Hill meat grinder leading up to and during the impeachment proceedings against William Jefferson Clinton....Lies, cowardice, hypocrisy, cynicism, amorality, butt-covering--these were the squalid political body parts that, squeezed through the political processor, combined to make a mockery of the impeachment process.

Of course, Schippers does want you to know what happened, and he also wants you to vote—against those who made the mess. And so he names names--of Republican senators who refused to allow evidence on the floor, of the five Democratic congressmen who never examined the evidence, of the GOP senator who said, "You're not going to dump this garbage on us," and also of the politicians who did an honest job, or at least asked reasonable questions (such as Joseph Lieberman). Schippers also reveals the evidence he was building against the Clinton administration regarding illegal INS actions and Chinagate, but that he was forced to drop. He reviews the successful struggle to get a full hearing in the House and the "flat-out rigged ball game" in the Senate.

Obama will never ever give up the perks of being President. He’s making $400K (over the table) without any expenses, and doesn’t have to do anything. He gets to play golf twice a week, throws major parties any time he wants, and has his “attention whore” demands satisfied on a daily basis. To him, there is no downside in being President. Any detriment to his lack of leadership is somebody else’s problem.

Wow, that's probably a pretty accurate look into 0bama's head!

I said this within weeks after taking office. If the 2010 elections are a blowout, the powers that be will have to throw him under the bus to continue on and pull the wool over the sheeple’s eyes.

If he can still get things passed after the elections/swearing-ins, they’ll keep him until they can’t get anything else passed after making people angry. If not, they’ll toss him under a.s.a.p. Then, “I don’t know,” Joe can take his place and continue the march toward socialism. They’ll play and end run before the election because so many know they’re out anyway, all that Obama’s handlers want to get passed will be passed and then some before 2011, wether in full strength or diluted form.

Count on it. It’s going to take work to regain lost ground, there is and never will be an easy way out of this slide.

>>I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012. <<

Actually, many of us were saying, last summer, that he will not serve an entire term. It could be caused by a number of things but the bottom line is that more and more people with the power to do something about it (and a LOT who don’t, but wish they do) do not think this country can survive a full Obama term and will take the necessary action.

It will almost certainly become pretty clear this summer.
