In a broad redefinition of U.S. strategic priorities, President Obama has said that the United States must revitalize its own economic, moral and innovative strength if it is to continue to lead the world.
Just as it did following World War II, the United States today must also shape a new international order and system of global institutions that reflect a 21st century reality in which "America's greatness is not assured," Obama says in a 52-page "National Security Strategy" released Thursday morning.
"As we fight the wars in front of us, we must see the horizon beyond them," he writes in an introduction to the document. "To get there, we must pursue a strategy of national renewal and global leadership -- a strategy that rebuilds the foundation of American strength and influence."
The report is the first that Obama has prepared under a 1986 law requiring the president to present Congress with an annual strategic statement. Most administrations have only sporadically adhered to the requirement; George W. Bush issued two national security strategies during his presidency, in 2002 and 2006...
The list, ping
In other words......he’s allowing the rest of the world to dictate to us.
a strategy of national renewal and global leadership — a strategy that rebuilds the foundation of American strength and influence.”
First of all, to imply that we have ONLY relied on military might is wrong. America has always relied on all types of influence: military, diplomatic, economic, cultural, alliances, etc. Second, if our allies see us as a weak horse, they will look for alternatives: just ask Brazil and Turkey. Obama is not that stupid—he wants to weaken the country while claiming he is making it stronger.
“....must revitalize its own economic, moral and innovative strength...”
...hmm...”moral strength”...sounds like Jimmy Carter...the guy who was humiliated by a 2-bit Ayatollah from a 2-bit country.
“the United States today must also shape a new international order and system of global institutions that reflect a 21st century reality”.....
No thanks, Buckwheat!.....America doesn’t want to be shaping any global institutions!....
Now wait, before everyone flies off the handle it should be seen that Obamalama is right. Any nation that elects leaders like Obama has thrown away its greatness. It can be recovered though.
This imposter in the Oval Office is as full of crap as a Thanksgiving turkey.
Commie psycho-babble.
