BEIRUT, May 26 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese army announced on Wednesday that it launched surface-to-air missiles at Israeli fighter jets that had violated the Lebanese airspace.
A statement issued by the army directorate said that the two Israeli jets penetrated Lebanese airspace over the town of Kfar Kila in the south, heading to Shaka town.

Amen! God have mercy indeed! We’re in a for VERY bumpy ride. Like I told my daughter last night/very early this morning this isn’t going to be like the ‘war’ they’ve grown up with ‘over there’. We will NOT be spared the horrors of this coming war as we have been for the last 150 years (since the Civil War).
This war WILL be fought on our shores, and in our cities - I firmly believe that. AND, this won’t be like anything we’ve ever really seen before (with the exception of those who have been in the military in recent years). There will be no outright clear declarations by our enemies I don’t think (could be wrong on that one, but I think a lot of nations supporting our enemies will remain in the shadows), and there won’t be clearly defined ‘soldiers’. I believe the term is 4th Generation Warfare among those in the military, and it looks a lot more like the gang warfare in our cities already than a war of the type most envision.
As someone said in a post here at FR yesterday — at this moment it seems time is failing, time as in what keeps everything from happening at once. I don’t think the majority of the US is going to be prepared for what’s about the hit us... I pray I’m wrong, and I pray it’s further in the future than I feel, but I don’t see this state of ‘excitement’ lasting for much longer before the lid blows.
IOU an email.
I am humbled by your affirmation.
Sigh.
Thanks and God bless you, Bro.
No worries!!! I probably owe you MORE than one! LOL :)
INDEED.
VERY SADLY, INDEED.
And, it appears that some on FR will be complicit in aiding the enemy . . . I hope unwittingly, if at all.
Perspectives...
Israel tends to regularly overfly Lebanese airspace. The Lebanese military also regularly responds with AA fire or SAMs.
This really isn’t all that much in the way of news.
(Most likely, Israel wanted closer reconnaissance of Hizbollah sites. Something better than what satellites could give.)
Israel has no real & reliable way of gathering INTEL about the Hezbollah arsenal being amassed on her border except for over flights. Lebanon, as an independent nation has lost total control over her entire southern region, relinquishing sovereignty to Hezbollah and Iran. The UN has tried (in vain) to prevent Syrian and Iranian shipments of killer SS missiles aimed at Israeli cities. Israel has the RIGHT to observe and if necessary, preempt what is being built up in Southern Lebanon. The Lebanese government in Beirut cannot cry spilled milk when they are providing sanctuary to extremely radical and violent groups (armies) like Hezbollah which uses Southern Lebanon as a forward base for missiles and a launching pad to attack Israel. In short, the Lebanese cannot have their cake and eat it to. Israel retains the SELF-DEFENSIVE RIGHT to enter Lebanese airspace in this very unusual and complex Middle Eastern deadly game.
“Israel tends to regularly overfly Lebanese airspace. The Lebanese military also regularly responds with AA fire or SAMs.”
As someone who closely monitors the news wires in Israel, Lebanon and the middle east, I would say the former is very much true, but you are incorrect on the latter.
IAF overflights of Lebanese airspace are a daily occurence. LAF SAM fire against IAF overflights occur very rarely. Maybe once a month or every other month.
Israel has a right to defend itself. Lebanon has a right to shoot down anyone violating it’s airspace.
I have no quarrel with either nation defending itself.
At some point, everyone who knows Christ as Savior feels that we are not worthy; that somehow we are not going to make it because we are fallen and wretched and cannot possibly be loved by Jesus enough for Him to give His life for us.
However, we must remember that our cleanliness in the eyes of God and our forgiveness is based on what Christ did on the cross for us. We can never earn our salvation, we can never work for it, there is nothing we can do. Or salvation is based entirely and only on Christ's death.
So when you begin to feel insecure as these days grow short before Christ's return, remember that you have trusted Christ as your Savior, you have accepted what He did on the Cross as payment in full for your sins, and that is all God requires of man for salvation.
Take heart- you are redeemed, God loves you, and you, like every other believer, are not destined for wrath:
For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. (1 Thessalonians 5: 9,10)
I think we may be about to see the fulfillment of Psalm 83 this summer if not very soon. And the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 may be part of this as well.
If the war prophesied in Psalm 83 does happen soon, Israel will win this war and have no more problems with the nations and terrorists which are listed in the prophecy. It is also possible that after this war, especially if it involves nuclear weapons, the Antichrist steps in and confirms the "peace" contract between Israel and the "many" spoken of in Scripture. And we know from God that the Church is gone before the Antichrist makes his appearance.
This, I believe, creates the conditions for Ezekiel 38 and 39 to take place.
Once a month is pretty regular for me.
dear flies like a dear!
Whatever happens, I'm sure it will be soon and I'm certainly hoping that the Lord comes back to get us sooner than later. I've really had a "gut feeling" that things in the Middle East are going to spiral out of control, fast, and soon. I've also had a "gut feeling" that the Lord is talking to His children and getting them ready for His return. What do you think?
I have the same gut feeling. I knew when Obama won the election that the decline and end of America had begun. Since then, I have been astounded at the speed at which prophecies given in Scripture for the return of Christ have been falling into place.
Here is a good article that was just posted that you may find interesting:
It's also nice to see that others have that "gut feeling" that all hell is about to break loose. I look forward to meeting you "in the air."
BTW, I like what it says on your FR webpage, "Religion is man attempting to come to God through works. Christianity is God coming to man through Jesus Christ." Josh McDowell, More Than a Carpenter
I believe the same way and I'll one step further.
Christianity isn't a religion, it's a way of life.
Exactly.
