“Police report that the incident became so heated that Marnocha, frustrated at the man’s refusal to calm down, ruled him in contempt of court and ordered him to serve 230 days in jail.”

I’m sure he was a jerk, but 230 day???

The surname Marnocha is found mostly in Deutschland, Northern Indiana and Milwaukee.

It seems to be a German surname. Remember the comic strip "Hoosier Day Shift"? Sometimes a German character would wear a fez. Same with The Captain and the Kids. The Captain always wore a fez.

Although better known as a Turkish custom, the fez had its aficionados in the Midwest and along the Rhine.

Elijah Muhammad (Black Muslim leader) used to wear a fez IIRC.

I have nothing for the ROP but I have even less for Judges who set themselves above the Constitution in general and the First Amendment in particular.
