Obama will be on vacation in Chicago this Memorial Day, instead of presiding over Memorial Day ceremonies at Arlington. This may be the first time since the Civil War that a president will not pay respect to the veterans passed.
You know how we mistrust government, think it’s too powerful? Andy McCarthy said that’s the way Obama thinks of the military.
This isn´t his country and he doesn´t care. He´s obviously secure enough not to have to worry about having a tin ear, though; he knows that whatever we think, we can´t get him out of the WH until he´s ready to go, so he doesn´t even need to pretend any more.

Although it is a shame and a disgrace that he will not attend the Memorial Day Observance at Arlington, a part of me is glad that his filthy marxist narcissist feet will not be soiling that sacred ground.

All I’m saying is that he’s going to the national cemetery in Chicago instead of Arlington. The response from people I have spoken to changes as soon as they find out he’s going to another national cemetery.
The OP never mentioned he was going to another national cemetery.
If he was not going anywhere, the story would be a bigger deal.
I guess it comes down to this. Were you disturbed when Bush went to Normandy instead of Arlington? Are the war heroes buried in Chicago less important than those in Normandy or Arlington?

While that's true, I was thinking of National Health Care, taking over Government Motors, and such as that.

Don’t be coy. You know exactly what I mean by “prepared comments”. Your posting history seems to show that many of your remarks are pretty polished, short and sweet. If that’s just your ‘style’ - and working with radio it just may be if you prepare copy day in and day out - then you have my apologies. Usually when comments seem so well-crafted they are posted that way for a reason.
Your questions to me at the end of your response to my questions (which you never really answered) just goes to show that you have no understanding of where I’m coming from.
I’ve got relatives in ALL THREE CEMETERIES you mentioned so your question of who is more important is disgusting to me.
MY point remains that the President should be presiding over services at Arlington National Cemetery, and at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. NOT another vacation and showing up because you happen to be in the area...
