Well, it would have been a purely fictional scene anyway. She knew worse than that about her "dear hubbie" - she was probably P.O.'d that he hadn't hidden it better!
It would have been as fictional as Reagan saying "They that live by the sword, die by the sword" about Aids patients. Of course, that did get left in the movie, didn't it?
