President Obama will NOT go to Arlington National Cemetary and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers on Memorial Day to honor fallen soldiers. Our president will remain in WH to "honor" former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney.
Story is only a tease line on FOX Morning News now. More later.
Actually, it’s better that Hussein NOT desecrate this heroic site with his unpatriotic presence. He has no honor. There are plenty of others who are proud to give thanks to all the brave people buried there.
2002 when Bush visited Normandy I believe. That is a worthy trip that is respectful of our men and women in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Chicago? Hardly respectful. This is incredible, just incredible.
So, it’s a “security problem?” Soooo...they send Biden?
” He is supposedly going to Chicago this weekend to visit friends, then concert next week. Still shows his priorities. He golfed last Saturday after West Point.”
Don’t forget the Marv Albert interview to be aired during the Lakers/ Suns game tonight.
Where Barry details where he thinks LeBron James should play and offered scouting reports on draft picks.
Where we also learn that besides watching Marv Albert “ all the time “ Barry enjoyed Marv calling him “ Barry O’Bomber “ from his high school days.

Barry’s friends in Chicago say that Mitch and Barry are homesick for Chicago and that’s no doubt why they are visiting.
” All kidding aside, Kahan said he has heard from friends including Chicagoan Sam Kass, the White House assistant chef, that the Obamas are homesick.
“Absolutely they are homesick,” Kahan said. “

The glaring message from a war time Commander in Chief to the hundreds of thousands of troops deployed for a year and sometimes longer is that , unlike them ,
he is physically and mentally weak .
“Its the sight of the crosses...”
Maybe he’s worried he’ll just combust.
It will interesting to see the excuse he comes up with for next year and ‘12.
Many of you are thinking of the President at The Tomb, or the VietNam Veterans Memorial, or some other place ON VETERANS DAY.
I live here and it's no surprise at all to discover a President is not present at Arlington on Memorial Day.
None of us would miss him Fur Shur.
Here's what the VA site says:
The Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery lies in the northwestern area of the former Joliet Army Ammunition Plant, approximately 50 miles south of Chicago. Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery is named after the 16th President of the United States and founder of the National Cemeteries.
In the midst of the Civil War, on July 17, 1862 President Lincoln's signature enacted the law authorizing the establishment of national cemeteries "... for the soldiers who die in the service of the country." During the Civil War there were 14 national cemeteries opened pursuant of this legislation. President Lincoln's legacy is especially important to the people of Illinois, where he worked and lived. Lincoln is remembered for his successful law practice and elected service as a resident of Illinois. He served as an Illinois State Assemblyman and an Illinois Representative during the 13th Congress, prior to his election as 16th President of the United States. He is buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near the State Capital in Springfield, Illinois, where many additional sites of historical interest are located.
Congressman George E. Sangmeister, a veteran of the Korean War, served as a representative and senator in the state of Illinois, 1973-87, and a U.S. Representative from Illinois, 1988-95. He was instrumental in the acquisition of 982 acres from the former Joliet Arsenal and its redevelopment as Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Monument and Memorials
Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery has a memorial walk that commemorates soldiers of 20th century wars on 11 memorials.
An 18-foot granite obelisk crowned by a bronze eagle with outstretched wings commemorates the 2,403 Americans who died in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. It was donated by the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and dedicated May 12, 2001.
The Blue Star Memorial Marker was donated by the District VIII Garden Club of Illinois and dedicated on September 15, 2000. The marker is a tribute to American men and women who have served, are serving, or will serve their country. Its symbolism dates to World War II when families of servicemen and women displayed a square flag decorated with a blue star in their windows to signify that a loved one was in the armed forces.
Good post!
He’ Super-DORK!
Actually, it is great news. That special place does not need distractions from Obama.
Exactly.
Arlington is the place where the national soul of ultimate sacrifice reposes. He is insulting that sacrifice with faint praise offered at a cemetery that was chosen because it was more personally convenient for HIM.
What a graceless, thankless, selfish a**hole.
While it is true that the absence of Barack Obama the man does no insult to the men and women who died defending our freedom, the absence of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on that special day is a terrible and deep insult.
Sad to say you are correct, but I do hold a little hope. I work with a number of people who transferred to my worksite from NYC and a number of them are fed up. The all had posters of “The Won” in their cubes sooo....
I’m glad. I don’t want that liar and fraud anywhere near our precious war dead. He’s a scumbag. He isn’t fit to polish the boots of one of our military members, let alone show up at Arlington and pretend he cares.
What a creep! As far as I’m concerned, America is leaderless right now. We have no (legitimate) president.
